• November Launch! - 31 July 2026

  It's been a busy summer for Killer Aces Volleyball development, wanted to give an update on how things are going. First off, my plan is to release this game into Early Access in November, potentially as early as November 2nd if everything goes well! That's soon which is exciting but also pretty ambitious and carries a little bit of bad news to go along with it. To hit that date I've need to reprioritize things and as a result player customization will not be part of day 1 Early Access. It's still a super high priority for the game, but it won't be ready for that November launch date.The good news is I've been making steady progress on the game over the last few months. • Steam Next Fest Demo - 29 May 2026

  Hey yall just wanted to confirm the demo for Killer Aces Volleyball will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest starting on June 15th! I'm super excited for everyone to finally get their hands on this game!Pretty much everything is ready to go, just putting some finishing touches on the demo experience and trying to fix some outstanding bugs. The demo will let you play an exhibition game using Italy or Japan (vs AI or local pvp), a beginner's tutorial, and some repeatable drills to fine tune your mechanics. I think it's a solid slice of the game and hopefully enough to get you excited for Early Access starting later this year!If you've been following this game for a bit now you might have noticed that I changed the teams for the demo from club to national teams.   Hey yall, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and holiday season, just about at the end of the year so I figured I'd give a little update on progress for Killer Aces Volleyball as we close out 2025. To get started, here's a video I recently put out, talking about the state of the game and some plans for a demo:I plan on releasing a demo early next year, I'm just not sure whether it will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest or have to come out at some point after.   Hey yall, thanks for checking out Killer Aces! Before you read any further, check out this gameplay video which shows the latest and greatest from the game!What I've been working onLast month I ran a playtest for a very small group of players to get an early read on how the game was playing. Testers ran through the game's tutorial and were able to play a very basic exhibition game against the AI. Feedback was positive and led to a lot of conversations about serve & spike timing and what the difficulty for new players should be. Most players felt that once they got comfortable with the game's controls the game started to feel really fun, which is exciting for me to hear!As you know, there aren't a ton of 6v6 volleyball games that players have trained years of muscle memory from, so I'm essentially starting from scratch with everyone who plays this game.
