Hina , a rumor-loving high school girl on a hunt for a scoop, accidentally stumbles upon the scene of the crime. Standing there is a mysterious girl named Chitose . Convinced she has found a "headline" story, Hina labels her the killer. In exchange for keeping her secret, Hina makes a daring proposal: she wants an exclusive "interview." Characters ▪ Hina Higano The protagonist. Her hobbies include surreptitious photography, wiretapping, and tailing subjects—she lives for juicy rumors. She has a relentless drive to see anything "interesting" with her own eyes. After a run-in with the school's disciplinary committee, she has (mostly) retired, though she still can’t resist bugging the staff room. ▪ Chitose Tsukishima A girl found at the murder scene.
