  • Small Hotfixes - Final Notice V0.5.7.1 - 10 November 2025

A (Not-so) Quick One!Not much here - I'm currently working on the roguelike mode and noticed a pretty ugly bug due to how I had the main menu setup - if you had a roguelike run active you couldn't play the bounties mode.WOOPS.That's now fixed. Also, the roguelike mode, due to me updating it, got a minor new feature due to some back end changes, cards now have typings stored in the back end that the card buckets can pull from, so expect to see more variance in a few buckets now. This will be expanded upon, but this update is just here to fix that pretty ugly bug. While You're Here-I was considering what to focus on with the upcoming patches, I'm shooting for adding as much content as I can into the game, then releasing it, but I've got a few ideas about what I'm doing with that too. Since this is such a small update, I'll just sort of explain where my head is at.Content FocusCurrently I'm…

  • Shuten Doji, Visual Updates, New Archetype - Final Notice V0.5.7 - 5 November 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Got a tonne to show in this new update - this update was actually available in the discord a fair few days early, so if you want to get in to the early beta releases, join the discord using the button at the bottom of the page. With that said, let's get right into it.New Boss - Shuten DojiWho?Shuten Doji is a legendary Oni from Japanese mythology, a demon leader that caused havoc in Kyoto, eventually meeting his demise at the hands of Minamoto no Raiko, where he was poisoned by sake and decapitated.Funnily enough in classic mythology fashion, this didn't actually kill him and his head kept trying to bite Minamoto monty-python style, who managed to not die to that ridiculous scene via wearing multiple helmets. I picked Shuten cause the story's funny I'm going to be so real.MechanicsShuten being a demon king who loves sake is represented in two ways. His first card…

  • Mandated Training - Final Notice V0.5.6 - 21 October 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Firstly, thank you to everyone that played during next fest, there was a good amount of interest in the game with wishlists increasing by over double (!!!). Massive thanks to those that tried it out, I got quite a bit of feedback regarding the game, and I recognise the sorest point right now is the game asks you to read a LOT of text with very little direction. To try to alleviate that, I've added a new, short, guided tutorial that has room to be expanded in the future, as more frequently asked questions emerge. If you have something you're unsure of LET ME KNOW! I can answer it and add it in there. If there's enough questions asked and answered, I'm happy to create a new page in the game with a series of different tutorials, explaining everything from the very basics to complex interactions - I just need to know what isn't clear (which is probably quite a few thi…

  • Next Fest Celebration! - Final Notice V0.5.5 - 15 October 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Kept you waiting, huh?In today's update we've got a new card, LIMITED TIME ACQUISITION as thanks for those playing during next fest, quite a few bug fixes and a little UX improvement.First up, the gratitude - New Card: GratitudeGratitude is more of a card made just to mark your presence, it's simple, but good. Perhaps that's the game at the moment, eh? Hopefully?Regardless, I appreciate the people who've checked out the game, hope you've enjoyed the time you've played, I hope you follow along as updates come out. This card will ONLY BE ACQUIRABLE between the 14th and the 20th of October 2025. After that, it'll be lost to time.Fixes and TweaksFix: Barghest's barks (haha) were previously the wrong colour, they now suit the palette.Fix: Fixed the overlays on the cards, hopefully. Previously they could get a bit quirky in how they displayed, especially entombed, but…

  • Clarity of Life - Final Notice V053 - 31 August 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back! This update is the last one I'll be doing til late September - I'm going on a honeymoon trip so I'll be away for some time. When I get back though, there'll be quite a lot of work to do, cause next fest will be right around the corner (AAAAAAAAA).Combat LogYou may notice the insanely obvious new rectangle above your cards - this is the combat log! It's functionally working now, if a bit untidy, but this new combat log should make it so that you can more easily keep track of the game as it progresses, and scroll back through something if you weren't sure what happened. Now you might also think to yourself "all well and good, but what about the boss cards? 'Set Aflame' doesn't tell me what the boss card did. WELL, ACTUALLY ːsteamhappyːHovering over the boss' card play actions gives you this popup, and clicking it: Lets you reread the card! This is a pretty big QoL ch…

  • The Ferryman - Final Notice V0.5.2 - 17 August 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Today's update includes a new boss, Charon, some added passives and an increased bucket selection for the roguelike mode. This one took a little longer - working on changing the popup system to instead be a chat box that lets you scroll through events, so you've got a history of what's gone on without having to stare at the screen and catch every popup. Next update won't feature a boss due to that - it'll be that upgrade. Stay tuned for that.Charon, The FerrymanFerryman of the underworld, Charon's primary mechanic revolves around him shuffling 15 obols, the currency used to pay the ferryman, into your deck. Charon initially starts out quite strong and is a T2 difficulty boss, but the more obols you play the easier he becomes. Manage to find (or duplicate enough obols) to play 15 of them, and you automatically win the game.He only plays a single card per turn, sav…

  • The Black Dog - Final Notice V0.5.1 - 8 August 2025

Welcome or Welcome BackToday's additions sees a small change to the roguelike mode, a new difficulty 1 boss and, finally, a new card.Roguelike Change:While difficulty one bosses are doable with the preset decks, it felt a bit bad losing your first game, so I yoinked a playtester, PaxGladeus', idea and implemented the first fight as one of the randomised bosses from the usual mode. Should hopefully mean you can get into the actual roguelike-ing a bit quicker. The BarghestThe Black Dog of the Yorkshire Moors, the Barghest's primary mechanic is centred around his howl, in myth an omen of death to those that see the dog stalking the countryside. The HowlWhen the Barghest howls, the rest of their cards will improve. They will howl once per turn, using a card to do so, meaning this boss will always play a howl, then one other card per turn. This does mean the boss will do less on it's turns tha…

  • V0.5.0 Roguelike Mode Release - 6 August 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back! Finally, the main part of the game. Final Notice now has a functioning (albeit a little lean) roguelike mode. Let's talk about expectations, both with the new mode and the future, and what the upcoming plan is.Roguelike Mode: How does it work?I mentioned how the general cycle goes in the beta announcement from a couple of days ago, so I'll repost that:Start a new run, picking a smaller-than-usual preset deck based on their normal preset counterpartsFight the first boss, a difficulty 1 boss and, hopefully, win!Choose from 3 different sets of 5 cards to add to your deckChoose from 2 different passives to add to your runFace a boss from the difficulty upRepeat this until you lose. The number of passives, bosses and card selections you get will of course increase with time, right now we've just got the 11 bosses from the bounty mode and around 12 passives that you can…

  • ROGUELIKE BETA IS NOW! - V0.5.0 Beta - 4 August 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back! After quite a while of talking about it and a whole lot of work, the roguelike beta is now live on the playtesting branch. If you want to be a part of it, join the discord here to get the access details, or if you have me added somewhere just message me and ask. What To ExpectCurrently the roguelike beta runs off a very simple loop:Start a new run, picking a smaller-than-usual preset deck based on their normal preset counterpartsFight the first boss, a difficulty 1 boss and, hopefully, win!Choose from 3 different sets of 5 cards to add to your deckChoose from 2 different passives to add to your runFace a boss from the difficulty upRepeat this until you lose. When losing, you'll be sent to an "in-progress" stats screen, that will show you how many bosses you beat, cards you had, and so on - current plan is to reward particularly long streaks or total win numbers wit…

  • Roguelike Mode Coming Soon - V0.4.9 - 3 August 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Today's update isn't very big, it's pretty much just a "sort stuff out" update before 0.5.0, the big introduction of the roguelike mode! There's going to have to be a lot of testing and balancing on that, so for the sake of making sure that the mode comes out properly, I'm giving the password for the beta for it out in the discord - if you wanna try the mode out, either message me if you have me somewhere or join the discord for the update. Why thoMainly because I need the feedback - if anything breaks or goes wrong works not quite as intended, I won't know if I'm not told. It's an entire new mode and it's the last sort of "part" to what Final Notice is going to be, gameplay wise, so it's important I get this working properly and squash any bugs, hammer out anything that's way overtuned and pump up anything that's lacking. There's a link at the bottom of this page…

  • The Queen of Yomi - Final Notice V0.4.8 - 27 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Today's update is a bit earlier than usual, because I'll be preoccupied for next week, which means I might not be around to drop an 0.4.9 update. Got some home renovation in the works, pain in the ass. In compensation, we've got 0.4.8, featuring a difficult new boss to fill out the roster and a new card for beating them.Izanami, YomiboundIzanami's our second tier 5 addition, and features a playstyle switch early in the fight, swapping from being defensive and controlling, to high aggression and burn once you get her past a certain mortis value. Make sure you take a look at the tips - it mentions a very important side point - codexes don't work in this fight!I wanted to make this fight very thematic, so I've done quite a lot of work on presentation for this fight, even featuring a custom track for Izanami as well as being the first boss to feature a "mode switch"…

  • The Gorgon - Final Notice V0.4.6 - 21 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!So I recognise this is a short time since the last devlog, which was literally yesterday, but I've realised I'm not going to have time later this week to work on the game due to home renovation, so I cranked out what was going to be the midweek update today. Not a huge update, mind, but it does feature:Medusa, The GorgonIf you've read the past update, you'll recognise this, but I figured I'll probably just explain what the "final concept" of Medusa ended out being. Medusa will play a lot of cards, she'll regularly play cards that increase the player's mortis over time, while also allowing her to play additional cards each turn. Naturally, she also "entombs" your cards, turning them to stone and rendering them unplayable, but still discardable.Consequently, it's very easy to get into a position where Medusa is able to play 5 cards a turn, stacking her over time eff…

  • From CCG To Roguelike: Making Final Notice's New Mode - 20 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!In today's devlog, I'll be speaking a little about the work done thus far on the roguelike mode, going over what's going to be included in the 0.5.0 update, and what you can expect from the updates between 0.4.5 and then.Update Expectations:For updates between 0.4.5, they'll generally come weekly (give or take a few days) and include content that will be featured in the roguelike mode, but isn't made specifically for it. This can be:New bossesNew cardsNew unlockable cardsBalance changesFixes (obviously!)The roguelike systems are being created to be heavily built off of the main game, with the idea that each addition to the main game is an addition to the roguelike mode, so that any addition to the game has some worth, regardless of what mode you prefer to play in. For 0.4.6, I've already made a few balance changes, namely to R34P and E.O.D. per some recent feedba…

  • New Meta Progression - Final Notice V0.4.5 - 15 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!In today's update there's a whole bunch of new cards for you to go find and theory craft with! I won't share all of them, but I'll share my favourites.New Cards (30 to unlock!)Now with an added 30 cards, the total number of cards in the game for the player reaches 117. More cards will come over the course of the game, of course, so this isn't the final number. However, cards in general will be taking a bit of a back seat to the new roguelike mode's development, so expect that to be the next chunky update.Personal FavouritesAs mentioned, I'll go over a few personal favourites and what the intent behind them was.Last Resort - It's intended use is actually two fold, one to utterly nuke your deck and increase mortis, as is probably the more obvious use, but it's secondary use is to guarantee you'll have an empty deck, which has some incredible potency with it's "sist…

  • Unlockable Cards + The Hardest Boss Yet - Final Notice V04.4.1 - 10 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!In today's update, I'll quickly overview some unlockable cards from the bounty bosses, what Maman Brigitte's difficulty entails and, lastly, a little information about upcoming updates.New Feature: Unlockable Cards! So I've talked about this one for a while, but I wanted to add some unlockable cards to Final Notice - currently not all the ones I wanted to add are in, but all the bosses, except Maman Brigitte, the one in this update, have unlockable "Boss Cards" - which you can tell the difference between because they are A) in more than just "green" colour-wise and B) trimmed with a fancy sort-of-dull-and-grungy gold border.Ideally I'll be keeping these cards pretty much a secret - so I won't spoil any effects or names, but I will show you the set of them here. They're all pretty damn strong cards so I'd recommend going to the bounty mode to beat the bosses! If you…

  • Test Branch Now Public! - 9 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!A bit of a unique update today - I'm publicising the test branch for anyone who wants to see what's cooking early and provide some feedback on the direction of the game, as well as providing a way anyone looking at this who's NOT logged in to steam (you know who you are) a way to play the game.HERE is the link to the itch.io version of Final Notice, which is the same version as the test branch on steam. If you would prefer to play the test branch here on steam, the code for the beta login is "tekkenzaibatsu".I uhhhhhhh don't wanna talk about that game though. It still hurts.Anyway! The itch.io version of this game has more devlogs than I'll be posting here on steam, it'll be all the whatever stuff you can live without, while here on steam you'll only see the big changes. As an example: I'll link to today's devlog, regarding bringing the test branch out on itch.io.C…

  • Voodoo Bosses Now Available! - Final Notice V0.4.3 - 7 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Today's a big one, I'd class it as a major update usually, but there's some news regarding that in this update, I'll get to it, first let's talk about the brand new inclusions to the boss bounties, and what the mechanics are and the intent behind them.Kalfu, CrossroadsKalfu's mythology paints him as the guy that mans the crossroads in the space between life and death, along with another loa, Papa Legba (who's not in the game... yet?). He's seen as the more darker concept of what that border symbolises than Papa Legba, hence his inclusion here, since I thought it a good balance to how jaunty Samedi and La Croix are going to end up being. His primary mechanic is Curses. He gives you a card that gives you two options and asks you to pick between bad and bad. It gives you as a player some agency over which bad you take, and sometimes you might even be able to situati…

  • Medals and Developments - Final Notice 0.4.1 - 2 July 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Today's little update revolves around a brand new card mechanic showcased in a brand new card, which will be expanded on in the future. Also, bounty bosses now have a little medal on the far side of the button, to show which ones you've beaten - see if you can get all the medals!Passive Card Effects:To bring a new angle of deckbuilding and gameplay, future cards may contain new passive effects that trigger at certain timings while the card is held in your hand. The first example of this is Office Plant!Office Plant, as the name suggests, is relatively mundane for a card, but it gives a good showing of what these effects do - these effects are actually mostly used in an upcoming bounty boss for 0.4.5.If you might be wondering what the next few bounty bosses might be, they're actually all themed from the same mythology, to get ready for a thematic roguelike run for…

  • Bounties Update! - V0.4.0 - 30 June 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Quite the long list of patches today so let's get right into it - I did plan to push this update a bit later in the week, but I'd really like some feedback from all of you regarding the bounty bosses and the massive balance change that's a part of this patch. Give it a look, see what's what.As usual, any player feedback will be marked with (ːsteamhappyː)Bounties!Added the bounties mode! This mode will be updated with new scripted bosses quite regularly. Pre-warning, the bosses are HARD and will require some deckbuilding to beat. Some tips for beating them are included in the bounties page when you select a boss.Currently, three bosses are added, Zeus, Thoth and Agni. Get into the game and have a go! Eventually bosses like this will be used to get unlocks, special cosmetics and ultimately be part of the roguelike mode.Balance ChangesThere's a lot.Nerfed Exile Divi…

  • Final Notice V0.3.9 - Fixes Before Bounty Mode - 29 June 2025

Welcome or Welcome Back!Today's all about fixes and a few features, I'll not waste your time with the flowery stuff, here's the actual contents of today's update. - All PLAYER FEEDBACK based changes will be marked with a "ːsteamhappyː"Fixes:Fixed an issue with cards that reduce the player's mortis at the start of turn preventing death by boss card effects (ːsteamhappyː)Fixed some cards that are over-time effects applying one instance of their effect immediately (ːsteamhappyː)Fixed player mortis increase on draw effect from fading after one draw.Adjusted some volumes for a more baseline experience, some were a little too loud, some too quiet.Fixed the bug where after winning a game, the hover tooltip in the deck select would no longer function. Short description

A grim after-death workplace deckbuilder/puzzle CCG about crafting the right deck to kill gods. Expect to lose, learn, and revise your mistakes - just like any other job.

About this game

Welcome to "The Authority," the cosmic organization responsible for managing the life-death cycle of... everything. You are a reaper - technically an employee - tasked with serving Final Notices to immortal entities who refuse to retire on schedule. As with most jobs, you're expected to learn on the job, break a few things, and file the relevant forms afterward. Final Notice is a dense, puzzle-like solo deckbuilder where you are encouraged - professionally obligated, even - to lose. Losing reveals weaknesses. Weaknesses become strategies. Strategies become victories you can brag about in the break room. If you're hoping to win your first fight, you're in the wrong department. YOUR DAILY TASKS WILL INCLUDE: Experimenting with 110+ cards designed to synergize, contradict each other, and occasionally betray you. Managing mortis, a soul-derived resource that Health & Safety insists is "safe enough" to use unsupervised. Building and rebuilding decks after each inevitable workplace accident. Battling procedurally generated bosses built from adjective-domain combinations. Tracking status effects like Banished, Fogged, and Entombed - all of which are definitely covered under your contract. Maybe. Revising your strategy because your starter deck is about as effective as a stapler against a hurricane. THE INTENDED LOOP (PLEASE READ - HR INSISTS): Attempt a boss fight. Lose. (This is normal. Please stop filing incident reports.) Return to the deckbuilder. Rethink your life choices. Discover a synergy you didn't notice before. Beat the boss. Hit a harder boss. Restart at Step 2 until you clock out or management intervenes. If you enjoy figuring things out yourself, welcome aboard. If you prefer a guided tour and guaranteed wins, HR recommends transferring to another department. WORKING CONDITIONS: Bounty Mode lets you fight curated bosses for training and performance evaluation. Roguelike Mode exists for employees seeking "career development" or "creative self-destruction." The game is dense by design - a puzzle you unpack through repetition, failure, and questionable perseverance. YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS Final Notice is under active development. Submis…

Price History Overview

USD uses SteamPulse's own locally recorded daily store snapshots, so this overview reflects the exact regional price history that SteamPulse has captured for this currency.

Coverage And Tracking Window

  • Snapshots: 1
  • Coverage: Oct 6, 2026 to Oct 6, 2026
  • Lowest observed: $0.00
  • Highest observed: $0.00

Final Notice's USD price history spans from Oct 6, 2026 to Oct 6, 2026, with 1 recorded snapshot across 1 calendar day. Each row records the available final price, listed base price, and discount metadata for that observation. Within this coverage the lowest recorded price is $0.00, the highest is $0.00, and the first visible tracked price is $0.00. These comparisons apply only to the snapshots SteamPulse holds; missing observations can contain changes that are not represented here.

For USD, SteamPulse uses locally captured regional storefront snapshots and does not reconstruct older prices with exchange-rate conversion. The chart and table show the values recorded for this exact currency from the stated coverage start. Additional snapshots extend that record, but they do not fill unobserved days or prove what the storefront displayed between observations.

Discount Windows And Sale Timing

  • Discount windows: 0
  • Discounted days: 0 days
  • Deepest markdown: No discount tracked
  • Latest sale window: No sale window tracked

Final Notice's tracked USD rows do not contain a discount window. This means no available snapshot in the stated coverage has usable discount metadata; it does not prove that the game was never discounted. Missing snapshots or archived rows without complete metadata can hide a sale, so SteamPulse does not infer pricing strategy from this absence.

If a later snapshot includes discount metadata, it will appear here with its recorded depth, price, date, and sale name when available. Until then, this section should be read only as a description of the available rows, not as evidence about the publisher's promotion policy.

Observed Price Changes And Stable Runs

  • Observed price drops: 0
  • Observed price rises: 0
  • Longest stable run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking
  • Current run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking

Outside rows carrying discount metadata, the tracked price has not recorded a separate price rise or drop yet. That means the observed undiscounted level has stayed stable across the snapshots SteamPulse currently holds. This is a statement about the recorded coverage only; it does not prove that an older or missing price change never happened.

The longest unchanged price stretch in the current record lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $0.00, from Oct 6, 2026 through Oct 6, 2026. Among rows without discount metadata, the longest unchanged run lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $0.00. The latest run records $0.00 for 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking as the same recorded undiscounted price. Run lengths describe consecutive stored observations only and do not establish that a price is permanent.

Latest Snapshot And Sales Context

  • Current price: $0.00
  • Current list price: $0.00
  • Distinct observed prices: 1
  • Source mode: SteamPulse local tracking

The latest tracked snapshot records Final Notice at $0.00 in USD, with no active discount metadata. Across the available history SteamPulse has recorded 1 distinct final price in this currency. This supports comparisons with the lowest, highest, and most common values present in the retained record, subject to the stated coverage limits.

The live sales view and Steam sales record provide calendar context for these dates. A date overlap can be compared with a named Steam event, but it does not prove why a publisher changed a price. As new daily rows arrive, this overview recalculates its observed prices, discount windows, and run lengths automatically.
