Item screen effects no longer show while the player is using the Drone or Camera. Added an "Item Wheel" hint upon arriving in Elder Crag. Various hints will now rotate to face the player. Fixed a bug where the "Perfect" achievement for a route wouldn't unlock if that route was completed in the same session as another run where player(s) died at least once. Fixed a bug where the player was being granted route completion achievements when approaching the totem in the lobby. Fixed some minor bugs in the tablet UI.

Hey everyone,We're just a little over a week away from launch (21st August) and we’ve got some cool news for fans who wanna play Sunset Summit early!We need playtesters to play our game and share feedback with us! There have been several updates since the last one in the demo while we've been working hard to get the game ready for release. This is a summary of the most important changes since v0.2.0:Routes no longer have a "difficulty rating" (stars) associated with them. Difficulty is now exclusively tied to the difficulty settings that can be customised in the lobby.The time limit for Normal mode has been increased to 1 hour. (Hard mode has been increased to 30 minutes.)Various items have been updated to make them feel more dynamic and powerful in unique ways, especially items that previously gave a flat stat boost for a set amount of time.Summit Stamps, an in-game currency, can now be earned by completing routes. Difficulty settings have been added to the tablet. Players can now choose from Cozy, Normal, or Hard mode, or choose Custom to fully customise the game's settings.More player icons reflecting the player's current state have been added to the HUD (bottom-left corner).Fixed a bug where players would be positioned incorrectly after standing up from a seat.

I began working on RISE in 2021…By 2023 I was burned out and unsure if a first-person co-op climbing game would appeal to anyone. After the success of PEAK in 2025, I felt reassured that it was worth finishing.
