Several years ago, I went through a list of over 1,000 fan-made games inspired by Five Nights at Freddy’s . And that was before the jumpscare ’em up series really took off. Several games (and one troubled spin-off ) later, creator Scott Cawthon has confirmed that he was working on a Five Nights 6 of sorts – but confirmed this by announcing its cancellation. Hey guys, I wanted to announce the signing of a 3-book deal with Scholastic, one of the biggest publishers on the planet! The first book is set for release this October, with the next two books scheduled for release in 2017 and 2018. Ok folks, everyone who owns the Steam version of FNaF World should be getting their game updated right about now! It's also available on GameJolt for those who don't have the Steam copy. I'll be carefully monitoring everything today in case someone finds a glitch that slipped under the radar! So if you encounter a problem, just post about it in the forums and I'll try to deal with it as soon as possible! Enjoy! UPDATE: Well, as expected there was a problem with the update already! I'm uploading a fix. Players were NOT supposed to automatically get Animdude and Chipper as characters. This was a glitch very early when I was working on the update. So those of you who got the early downloads are lucky to get those characters right away!

Hi everyone. As you may know, Dawko had been in the hospital for quite some time with a pretty serious condition. I was really excited that he was out of the hospital for the release of Update 2, with a charity stream planned and everything. He is such a vital part of the community, and I couldn't imagine it without him. Unfortunately, it seems that the celebration was a bit premature. It looks like Dawko will be returning to the hospital shortly. I know that not everyone in this community is religious. If you are, pray for him. If you're not, I'm sure he would appreciate your well wishes and support. Show his channel some appreciation today. Well, despite creator Scott Cawthon’s suggestion that Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 would be “the final chapter” of the juggernaut of jump scares, it seems things are going on. A new game is being teased on his website . The title, written across a robotic toy face, appears to be Sister Location, and that’s joined by the tagline, “There was never just one.” A spin-off? Hi everyone, I wanted to make a post about the fate of FNaF World. Even though the game had a "Very Positive" rating with 87%, I was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting. For that reason, I've decided to remove the game from Steam. I've also asked Valve to make it so that the game can be refunded regardless of the amount of the time it has been owned, meaning that anyone can get a refund at any time. It may take them a while to set that up, but it will be in place soon. I'm still going to work on FNaF World and polish it up. I'm busy creating a fully 3D overworld for the game. When I'm ready to update the game, I will replace the demo currently on GameJolt with the full game. From this point forward, the game will always be free on GameJolt AND Steam. My old faithful computer (which I used to make FNaF 1-4) finally died the other day. Hardcover books will be in stores sometime in 2016. I wanted the price of the paperback to be lower but the minimum required is actually quite high due to Amazon's publishing costs. If you can't afford that just stick around for the Kindle edition!

- Halloween Update is here! - 31 October 2015
Hey, you should all be proud of me that I made it this close to actually releasing the game on Halloween. ;) But seriously, I wanted to give myself plenty of time to weed out problems since I've never attempted multiple launch options with Steam before. BUT... it looks like everything works! :) Once your game updates you should now have two launch options- the main game (updated to 1.1), or the Halloween Edition! Enjoy, and Happy Halloween! NOTE: For people having issues with finding the Halloween Edition: Try relaunching steam, and then it should give you the option to launch the Halloween Edition after you click Play. The other way you can do it is to right-click Five Nights at Freddy's 4 in your games list on the left side of your Steam window, the Halloween option should appear there as well.
