- Stability Update - 3 November 2025
A new stability update has been released today. This should fix the issue of the game hanging and potentially crashing during transitions from the items/files/map menus and back into the game.Code related memory management when exiting menus has been improved.

This update includes a handful of minor fixes.Fixed an invisible object.Fixed room transition coordinates into entry hall.Map updated to fit with the redesigned rooms.Added a note back to the dining hall after the redesign.Improved text paragraph code to be based on pixel width rather than character amount.Fixed Tessa's ghost not animating, as well as her camera close up.

We've been hard at work to make the game more stable, and have identified some root causes. Though some still remain and will be fixed in the coming days, most of the identified causes have been taken care of as of this update.A lot of fixes to game assets and code to improve game stability.Fixed a bug where a character would not respond to a dialogue choice.Completely redesigned Entry Hall and Dining Room.Some minor texture improvements.

- Map Update - 25 October 2025
This update adds a new feature to the game.Map feature added, available through the in game menus, and by pressing M.The name of the room you're currently in is now displayed at the top of the in game menus.Music has been added to the main menu.The map should come in handy for your exploration of the Bariton mansion! It will automatically add new rooms you enter to the map, and if you find a door is locked it will mark that door with a red colour.

Today's update features mainly changes to the font:The game's main font has been replaced.You can now choose between using the new regular font and a more accessible font in the Settings menu.In game menus now lowers music volume instead of pausing the music entirely.Both Pause and Cancel buttons now resumes the game from the pause screen.

Another new update, this time just things to make the mansion more interesting to explore.Added a small cutscene at the start of the game.Added several atmospheric effects.Minor changes to the Credits screen.Fixed a bug related to how often atmospheric effects would activate.
- Settings Update - 20 October 2025
Today's update mainly adds the settings menu for a few options.Added settings menu.Fixed a potential crash bug in inventory, if item image can't be found.Fixed a bug where intro/outro text would skip to the next page instead of showing the entire text when interacting to skip the animated text effect.Added a couple more atmospheric effects.The settings currently menu allows you to adjust music volume, toggle the animated text effect, and delete save files. Access to the "View Controls" screen has also been moved from the main menu to the settings menu. More options might be added later.
- Endings Update - 19 October 2025
The new update improves on all three endings of the game.All endings have now received artwork to go with the story.All endings have received new music tracks to along with it.Text is now outlined for stronger clarity.Intro now has a single image to go along with the text.Fixed an issue where a document didn't get removed from the game world after reading it.Fixed an issue where your reply options were mixed up.

This new update brings a few minor fixes and additions.Minor code performance improvement.Improved mirror reflection code.Environmental descriptions added to the entire mansion.Some minor visual details added to some rooms.A couple more atmospheric effects added.

A new update today!Removed a piece of dialogue that was double up.Fixed an issue with a piece of environmental audio not playing correctly.Increased the brightness of some textures.Removed clicking noise from door opening sound.Added some atmospheric effects.Added some detail to certain rooms.Only a handful of environmental effects have been added thus far, more will be added in future updates.

Another update with bug fixes and minor improvements.Some existing sound effects were improved upon.Further improvement on menu code logic.Player movement now takes framerate into account.Improved performance, especially in the dining room.Some minor visual edits in all rooms.Fixed a couple missing dialogue choices.Fixed some random glitches caused by leftover garbage data in certain asset files.

A new update today!Fixed a visual bug where world objects would take some time to be shown after camera angle changes.Added typewriter effect to text.Various fixes in regards to the menus.(Thanks to the Leadwerks team for helping with finding solutions to a couple of these!)

Pushing out another update today, fixing both some minor and a couple more important issues.Objects where you need to use items should now give a remark if you use the wrong item.The maid's ghost has had "VA" added to dialogue like the rest, and has had some text fixed due to some unsupported font symbols.Crash bug related to errors in save files has been fixed.Camera not resetting after checking servants quarters bed has been fixed.Fixed an out-of-bounds camera angle.Fixed the "highlight hint" system for most(if not all) documents as they weren't being flagged properly. With only a couple of exceptions, this won't fix the problem for puzzles already solved in existing save files.Replaced the sprite for an item.

v0.9.1.h adds some minor visual details in a couple rooms, and fixes the following issues:Kitchen glass in cellar, wrong description and remaining shadow.Pedestals in chapel, collission issue.Design issue regarding not being able to exit back through a specific door.A book not disappearing when picked up.A possible soft lock issue.

We have been working tirelessly to have the game ready for launch day, and now it's finally here!We very much hope you'll enjoy exploring the Bariton mansion and uncover its secrets!Because we are a small, two-man team, and this game was made on both a very tight budget and extremely short time frame, we hope you'll bear with us as we spend the next days and weeks improving upon the game.From bug fixes to content we didn't have time to add in before launch, we intend to continue working until you get the best experience possible from our game.
