We’re pleased to announce an Uplifting game update for AlterVerse: Disruption! We have given the Lower Launch Bay, where Death-matches are held, a spiffy face lift AND have added Zero-Grav Updrafts! The updrafts will help propel you to the top of large crates where you can get a birds-eye view of the playing field! Sniper time! We added a new Game Guide Tutorial system to help noobs figure out what to do and how to do it! In addition, we added a new system for announcing upcoming Events and Tournaments in-game so you’ll always know when and where the next event will be! With the new system we will be holding Bonus rounds daily and large Tournaments every weekend! In this update we added secure, unique Character Names, Alliance Names and Server/Ship Names. Just in time for the Lunar New Year sale - Our website update is complete! https://alterverse.com/ It is now 300-500% faster and has some slick new features! We are focusing the site on Competitive Gaming now so it’s clearer to new people what the gameplay is all about. It has a cleaner, more modern look overall. We have added a new Deathmatch Tournament feature that will allow Server Owners to create, announce, and schedule DM tournaments. This includes the Free-For-All Brawl and Starship Raider modes. Once created, the Tournaments will then be regularly announced in-game as a reminder. When the Tournament is over, the results will be automagically posted on the website! We have added a unique Character Name and Alliance Name feature so that no one else can use your name! We're also adding a unique Server Name check on the game side. Every day at 1pm & 8pm CST we'll be holding mystery events and handing out bonuses in the form of in-game currency and/or skins! Mystery events can be a Free-For-All Deathmatch, or a round of Starship Raider, maybe an XR75 Dog Fight DM or a 15 minute round of Capture the Flag! We'll tell you when you get here! This update brings us to v 0.1.0.11 and includes an SDL update and some other minor GUI updates. Game generated message like who has the Reactor Core in Alliance Wars will now also print to the chat window. It will also clear the web cache on first load, so you will need to login even if you had 'Remember Me' set. Note: Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) is a cross-platform software development library designed to provide a hardware abstraction layer for computer multimedia hardware components. Software developers can use it to write high-performance computer games and other multimedia applications. It's Christmas Eve and we're STILL working! Crazy but it's true!
