- Fixed Emtpy Room Browser Bug - 1 October 2026
Yup that's right guys, the game isn't as dead as you think! There was a bug in the room browser that caused rooms to not show. I was trying to make it so that when you start a battle royale game, it would change your room name to "In Progress" so that people would know it already started. Unfortunately, the Multiplayer API didn't like that and it would break the room browser, so I had to remove it. Anyway, Toy Town Mayhem is ACTUALLY back, so sorry about that..

New update that targets new servers!You can now play Toy Town Mayhem again, sorry about the wait!This update also does some optimizations on how much data* is transmitted when playing Toy Town Mayhem, so that hopefully the servers don't get overloaded so soon again. (Reduced server tick speed from 50 to 30, but added interpolation so that the lower tick speed doesn't make things look laggier.)*data as in data that needs to be transmitted for a multiplayer game to work, for example "isplayershooting", "isplayermoving", etc. Toy Town Mayhem does not collect personal data. - Huge fixes to shooting accuracy - 30 May 2026
What's up guys!This update adds some major improvements to shooting accuracy. After installing this update, you'll find that "firing blanks" has been effectively removed. This new system relies on hitscan a lot more, and the synchronization of where bullets are spawned is much better. I can confidently say that many will enjoy this update, as shooting is much more satisfying.(Here's a little behind the scenes! YO YO Toy Town Mayhem PATCH!Ts update is relatvely small and simple, mainly towards Steam Deck players and people who play Toy Town Mayhem with a controller, (yes we have controller support, kind of).What's new?In the login page, theres now a "@" button, so that you can type your email to log in. For almost everyone, this was not a problem, however, for Steam Deck players, it was an issue. Do to the unorthodox method that Steams Virtual Keyboard uses to send inputs, a lot of Unity games are unable to accept certain inputs from Steam Decks, (Lock in Steam and Unity, this should not be an issue this late)Better Controller Sprint! Bad news for Toy TownSo if you play Toy Town Mayhem and live in Russia, you may have noticed that you are unable to connect to the game. I've spoken to Toy Town Mayhem's server provider, and they have told us that they are not actively blocking Russia. I've also spoken to a few Russian players and unfortunately, it seems that the government themselves are blocking the game, as well as games that use similar services. If I find a way to get the game working again in Russia, I will post an announcement, in the meantime, if you play the game and live in Russia, the best thing you can do is find a good VPN. Once again, hopefully this can be fixed, and if you know of ways to get it working (that don't require using a new multiplayer service, I just don't have the resources to convert the whole game unfortunately), don't hesitate to leave a comment!

WASSUP GAMERS!Pretty simple update, though we did change the Engine version and unfortunately for some reason some of the code got scrambled, I think everything is put back together for the most part. While it was broken, it seems the only thing that got affected was audio and text. I believe all the audios are fixed, but if you notice something like text that isn't fitting on the screen, then please send a screenshot and notify me via email!(it would look something like this)Also I added a new gamemode which is in beta, it's sort of like the battle royale mode. What's Up Guys!You may have noticed that the servers were down for a few hours earlier today, this was unfortunately not coincidence and I have some somewhat sad news for Toy Town Mayhem.As we all have seen, the player counts for Toy Town Mayhem are dropping, and it's getting harder to pay for the games servers. For now, this update switches Toy Town Mayhem to use a cheaper server and the game has been optimized to transfer less data.(In this sense "data" refers to the things that must be sent for a multiplayer game to work. For example, when your player moves, that data must be sent so other people can see that your player moves. Toy Town Mayhem does not track or send personal data.)As of right now, the game is not at risk of any sort of shutdown, but it's not out of the picture.
