- Controller Support, Demo Rerelease and Other Fun Stuff - 5 February 2026
Hi Scribblers!Unfortunately this update is not as content heavy as the last one but there are still some important changes that needed to be addressedController SupportI have now added controller support for local multiplayer, along with a complete revamp of the local multiplayer controller system. Previously, as the keybinds were bound to the drawings themselves, it was easy to mix up controls, and have one player controlling two robots. This has now been fixed, and along with keyboard controls, there is the option for controller, and the ability to rebind all keybinds, and add new keybind sets in the settings.I have also added 2 new keybinds to play around with:Ragdoll (space on keyboard, b on xbox, square on playstation)Die (r on keyboard, y on xbox, triangle on playstation)Alternate Sandbox mapsyou can now use any map in the draw sandbox! just select what map you want to use in the…

- What's coming next for Scribble Bots? - 18 January 2026
First of all, thank you all for playing Scribble Bots! It's been a great release, and I've really enjoyed seeing all the cool drawings people have made in the community and over discord. I'm so glad to hear that everyone's been having heaps of fun.Unfortunately there are still a bunch of bugs in the game, I've been working hard to fix the game breaking and annoying ones, but I will be leaving some of the cool fun ones that I deem acceptable. If you find a bug, make sure to report it in the discord or via the google form (found in the games main menu). I am going to continue adding content to Scribble Bots, so here is a bit of an idea of what I will be adding over the coming weeks/monthsShort Term GoalsIn the short term I plan on adding a bunch more content. There are already quite a few maps and powerups but there can definitely be a lot more, so that is what I will be looking to add. I…
- Patch 11.1.26 - Bug Fixes - 11 January 2026
There were a lot of pretty game breaking launch bugs, so I have patched as many as I can. Fixed a bug where sticky bombs would pin to different bodies on the host and client, causing them to fling themselves violently around the map Fixed a bug where if you place a hat then click on it, the hat disappears Patched an issue where if you stack rocket launchers directly on top of each other, everyone's frames would drop to 1fps. Now if you try and stack multiple powerups, it will delete them if there are 4+ all stacked. added a hat limit. this can be set in the lobby settings, however setting it too high will allow people to crash frames by stacking a bunch of hats (similar to the rocket launcher issue) fixed an issue where having a bunch of rocket launchers could launch you out of the map. Now getting hit with rockets has a short cooldown, so you should only take the force of one rocket if…

I also fixed a bunch of bugs includingfrequent crashing in multiplayer when switching levelsplayers not being properly kicked from the lobby after leavingplayer scores not being shown properly when one player leavesthe flamethrower sometimes pulling enemies towards you instead of blasting them awayLet me know if you guys encounter more bugs,Thanks for playing!- Mrmango
- Major Update - 2 November 2025
New Demo update is live, and this is a big one!Heres a (mostly) complete list of all the changes:Movement: so although the old movement system was fun, it was way too complicated, and too unreliable for most people to use. Robots would be super unstable, fall over all the time, and you would have to be very specific with you drawings to get something that works, or you would be forced to use powerups to move. So, I've completely overhauled the movement system!Procedural walking:I have switched the controls to WASD, where A and D will make you robot walk left or right! the legs on the left and right hand side will move in a nice walking animation too. You can walk no matter what your robot looks like, if it has a bunch of legs, even if its completely unstable (also if you have no legs at all you can roll around)Jumping:You can also jump by pressing up! This helps regular robots compete w…
- Minor Patch - OCT 13 2025 - 13 October 2025
Hey guys,Just another couple of minor bug fixes today. There was a big issue where sometimes people would mistakenly draw an invisible body and it would screw over the rest of the drawing, so thats fixed now. I also fixed an issue in multiplayer where players would be completely desynced, however their actions would still go through.I also changed the thrusters so that they don't always sound like they are on top of you.Cheers for playing,Mrmango
- Minor Patch - OCT 9 2025 - 9 October 2025
Hey guys,I just added an option to save your robots in game! You can then load in your saved robots at any point. I also changed the "import" and "export" buttons to copy and paste for more legibility. This was highly requested as the export strings were at times pages long, which would make it extremely difficult to store them. The save files are now stored at %appdata%/Roaming/Godot/app_userdata/ScribbleBots/SavedRobots, in compressed json strings. These files can be shared, and then copy pasted into the game as well if you need.I also solved a bug that was causing crashes upon returning to the main menu in some circumstances. -Mrmango
