Like, totally free. No strings attached. As of last night, Arclight Cascade is free on Steam and Itch.io, no In-App-Puchases and no ads. And that's not changing, so have fun, we certainly did :)

Hello! I'm Tom, a part of Hexdragonal. It's been a little quiet because the company is shutting down :c Still, the Community has been great to us and we wanted to give back at least a little of that love. Arclight Cascade will be made completely free on May 5th 2017, fifth of the fifth. First on itch.io but Steam too if we're allowed! We’re all still about and making games. Right now Chloe posts updates on her explorative SCHMUP and design explorations on Twitter @GenderTruckery and I make gaming tools and a silly cat game @TheTomTalks c: I’ll post up again on the fifth of the fifth, thank you for sticking with us through it!

Small patch update, sorry about that. Steam wasn't being linked in, so achievements and leaderboard were temporarily not working. Should be fixed now, sorry for any inconvenience.

Hey everybody, there's a new update live RIGHT NOW. Here's what we did if you're interested: Features Complete Menu Overhaul, everything should look better and be a little easier to access now. Colourblind mode! You can find it in options, it only has a toggle but we think it should be enough to help you if your eyes don't want to tell you about those pesky colours, let us know if we're wrong! Leaderboard for total kills! Have you contributed the most to the war effort? (To upload stats if you played before this update, go and play a game and it'll update the leaderboard) Controls changed almost completely. Pressing shoulder buttons to swing a sword is so 1979, so now just use the sticks to flail to your hearts content. If you really miss the old days though, you can always just press BACK. The camera is no longer static. It's more dynamic and freeflowing for a more interesting gameplay…
