  • BUILDING THE LAST SPACESHIP - 15 July 2026

From a Rough Sketch to a Complete Spaceship. It took a long time for Last Spaceship to get to where it is today.A few years ago, it was still a massive, vague idea. I wanted to do everything, but ended up accomplishing nothing.Over time, we gradually came to understand what kind of game Last Spaceship was meant to be.By the end of 2024, development finally found its footing.Looking back at all these years, the biggest lesson I've learned is this: the hardest part of making a game is often not the technical work—it's persistence.

  • BEHIND THE SCENES - 9 July 2026

Today we’re sharing a glimpse of what Last Spaceship looks like during development. While players will experience a finished world aboard the Nüwa, creating that experience involves countless hours spent inside Unity—building environments, setting up puzzles, connecting game logic, tracking down bugs, and testing every interaction. What may seem like a simple puzzle often requires multiple systems working together behind the scenes. Every compartment, clue, and interaction has gone through many iterations before reaching its final form. As a small team, development has been a constant process of experimentation, problem-solving, and refinement. Seeing the ship gradually come to life has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Thanks for following along as we continue preparing for launch. 🔔 Follow for more development updates ⭐ Wishlist Last Spaceship on Steam

  • MEET THE DEVELOPER - 29 June 2026

Liu XuyangHi, I’m Liu Xuyang, the producer, designer, and artist behind Last Spaceship.I’ve worked in the game industry since 2010 as a concept artist, UI designer, and lead artist across a variety of projects. Outside of work, I’ve always loved adventure, exploration, puzzle, and action games. Series like Castlevania, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, Ace Attorney, and The Legend of Zelda have all had a big influence on me as both a player and a developer. Before Last Spaceship, I worked on two independent game projects that ultimately fell short of my expectations. While neither was successful, they taught me valuable lessons about game design, production, and scope. Looking back, those experiences played an important role in shaping the game we’re making today.Liu YiLiu Yi joined the project in early 2025 as the sole programmer on Last Spaceship. Before joining Normal Games, he spent seve…

  • Humanity's Final Journey - 26 June 2026

Long before Traveler arrived, the Nüwa was built for a single purpose: to carry humanity away from a dying Earth. But something went wrong. When Traveler reaches the Nüwa, the ship sits abandoned in a barren wasteland. Its corridors are silent. Its systems have fallen dormant. And the people who once briefly called it home are nowhere to be found. As you explore the ship, you’ll gradually uncover traces of the lives left behind. Personal belongings, forgotten workspaces, abandoned facilities, logs, and fragments of old records all offer clues about what happened aboard the Nüwa.From crew quarters and mess halls to engine bays and more, each compartment tells part of the story. Some answers are easy to find. Others require careful observation and a willingness to look beyond what is immediately visible. While restoring the ship remains Traveler’s primary objective, understanding what happene…

  • MEET TRAVELER & GEE-GEE - 25 June 2026

When Last Spaceship begins, you awaken as Traveler (right), a maintenance robot who has travelled across a barren world to reach the starship Nüwa.Built to repair and maintain complex systems, Traveler arrives with a simple mission: restore the ship and uncover what became of humanity’s final hope.Shortly after arriving aboard the Nüwa, Traveler meets Gee-Gee (left), a small utility robot and one of the few active inhabitants remaining on the ship.Although they share the same goal, the two often approach the unknown differently. Traveler tends to be cautious, a little timid, inquisitive, and practical, while Gee-Gee remains optimistic and supportive but prone to the occasional scare. As the pair venture deeper into the silent corridors of the Nüwa, they uncover traces of the people who once lived aboard the ship and begin piecing together the story of humanity’s final journey.Traveler m…

  • One Ship. One Giant Puzzle. - 22 June 2026

When designing Last Spaceship, we didn’t want the Nüwa to feel like a collection of separate levels or disconnected puzzle rooms.Instead, we wanted the entire ship to function as one giant puzzle. As Traveler, you’ll explore the Nüwa, searching for the tools, clues, and missing components needed to solve puzzles, restore critical systems, and unlock new areas of the ship.As more systems come online, the Nüwa gradually transforms. New areas become available to explore, additional puzzles emerge, and the scope of your journey expands. While some puzzles can be solved within a single compartment, others require information, tools, or clues gathered from multiple parts of the ship. The deeper you venture into the Nüwa, the more you’ll discover how its many systems connect together, turning what begins as the restoration of a single area into the restoration of the entire ship.Rather than sol…
