- Version 0.135: Exploit removed! - 1 May 2026
There was a problem when you would exit the deckbuilder to main menu: you could draft again after having won a game. A total exploit because you could draft infinitely! The exit to main menu existed for long but I decided to auto-save your deck before you would even if empty. Normally it would only save when pressing Play from the Deckbuilder (or just pressing Save). Version 0.134 solved a problem with Manaflood which would work inconsistently.
- Early Access now! - 30 April 2026
You can finally play the full game, at a lower price than the release out of EA later this year. Some cards are still too powerful or weak, some enemies may be too challenging early on and I want the game to be playable and enjoyable for all. Last days were very busy. I have been prerecording a stream (not live) to show during the upcoming, weeklong Steam Next Festival for deckbuilders starting the 4th of May. It was quite a new experience for me. More details later. Some smaller improvements were implemented this week as well: -Deckbuilder saves deck to file also when returning to menu; -Added Manaflood explanation to Tutorial; -Hemera + Nyx had it's power level adjusted (it does not trigger first turn anymore, contrary to the older version below) as well as requirements for it's decktype. Most importantly, many important fixes were made to v.0.133:-problems with listing the new cards…
- Avatars matter! - 10 April 2026
A new feature is a little bonus given by every god. Now the god you pick at the start of your game makes a difference other than just the avatar image. Although players will have their favorites and put them in different tiers in terms of powel level, I attemped to make them all reasonably balanced. The gods do not help you throughout the game but only give you a kickstart early to help your strategy just a little bit. Because I still want players to experiment with as much different deck builds as possible, I did not want to peg players into a particular design. Without further ado, here they are: Some minor fixes have been added as well, such as prolonging the popup messages for Retaliate and Fortify. The Fire and Lightning Automaton cards were not only fixed, they are now stronger. A basic card design principle I used is you should get a base 3/3 without Trample for 2 Mana. The idea…
- Introducing the Starter Deck! - 7 April 2026
The Fight for Olympus Demo (version 0.131) has been made more accessible to new players in multiple ways. 1. Starter deck The initial version threw you into a draft of 7 cards (1 rare, 2 uncommons, 4 commons) while also handing out 7 random cards. Now with a New Game you can choose. Do you want to start with a (double) draft to get 2 rares, 4 uncommons and 8 commons? Or do you want the Starter Deck with 14 commons from which you can choose the cards for you deck with a minimum of 10. Beginning players should not be confronted with the mechanics just yet so the early draft was not ideal. ......................................................................................................................................................................................................... The cards in the Starter Deck require only a minimum of understanding of the game. It also has a couple…
- New "Fortify" mechanic, new cards and Decktype #40 : Dryads! - 12 March 2026
Fortify is a new mechanic for all your played Units. It helps Units dealing with bigger foes and adds more value to Units that sit idly in your hand if all your Fields are occupied.2 new Dryad Units were added, Dryad Trapper (Common) and Dryad Mother (Uncommon). This brings the total of collectible cards to over 250. The Dryad Trapper turns Fortify into a powerful ability, while the Dryad Mother can help bringing in damage with small Units. This led to a new 40th decktype: In addition some bugs, mostly layout-related, were fixed and the Dryad Runner was fixed: it now forces card draw for opponent.
- New demo! - 26 January 2026
Enjoy the demo! This is the second version already and several updates will come in the coming months. I will work on new features and any bugs and visual quirks I find in the meantime: New in this build: -Fortify mechanic. A new mechanic that lets you convert existing Units into a Power/Health bonus for new Units; -new menu image and layout;-fixes to sound and Help menu's. To be developed: -Bonus cards: I'm considering guaranteed new common and uncommon cards handed out for each Enemy or Level defeated, to help completionists; -Trophies; -New Enemies.
