About this game
RUNNING WITH RIFLES 2 is a top-down military shooter set in a fictional Eastern Bloc-inspired country seized by the ruthless Vanguard Army. As the occupation tightens its grip, multiple factions emerge in the region, each responding to the conflict in their own way. Your journey begins as a survivor exploring an open world where scattered survivor communities struggle to endure. They scavenge for supplies, trade resources between their shelters, and build defenses to protect against raiding bandits. As survivors grow in strength, they begin to fight back against the bandits taking down their camps and hideouts across the region. Some survivors rise to become the Rebels, operating covertly in cities under the watchful eye of the Vanguard Army. Hidden in plain sight, the Rebels wage a shadow war through sabotage, ambushes, theft of intel, equipment and vehicles, and targeted eliminations of high-ranking officers. Disguising as regular civilians get them close to restricted areas, but stealth becomes vital once inside the military zones. Use tall grass and foliage for cover, move crouched or prone to reduce noise and visibility, and rely on suppressed weapons or silent takedowns to stay undetected. Liberator Army stands as the opposing force to the Vanguard Army. Large-scale battles erupt across strategic locations, with waves of infantry supported by armed vehicles, APCs, tanks, and helicopters in relentless clashes for control. Choose from a wide arsenal of weapons, including assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs, sidearms, light machine guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and hand, smoke, or incendiary grenades. Some battlefields also feature deployable heavy weapons such as mounted machine guns and mortars. Completing objectives earns experience and promotions, unlocking squad leadership abilities. Recruit up to four squadmates and command them individually or as a unit. Direct their positioning and field of view, and order them to equip or holster weapons, throw grenades, pick up items, and more.
