• Game Update v6.3.2 - 3 September 2026

  Mission balance Unit strengths are revised across a number of missions. Rising Storm, mission 4: The mission now runs for its full thirteen turns. Fixes The centre button on the briefing, results and settings screens now sits in its own plate, matching the corner buttons. The game now starts correctly on a Windows PC without the Microsoft runtime libraries installed.

• Major Update v6.3.0: Achievements Return - 29 August 2026

  Achievements return Achievements are back in Tank Battle: 1944. This major update restores all 18 original achievements and adds six new challenges, bringing the total to 24. Here are six new challenges to take on: Wespe Hunter: Destroy 5 enemy Wespe self-propelled guns. Fire for Effect: Destroy 10 enemy units with artillery in games against the computer. Air Superiority: Destroy 5 enemy units with air attacks in games against the computer. Armoured Ace: Destroy 25 enemy units with tanks in games against the computer. The Long War: Complete all seven main campaigns. Master Strategist: Complete every scenario in all seven main campaigns on Hard difficulty. Also in this update Enemy artillery will now make better use of the battlefield. • Game Update v6.0.6 - 2 August 2026

  A tougher opponent on Hard We've made many improvements to the computer opponent and the Hard difficulty now gives you a much better challenge! Unit Library A new Unit Library lists every unit in the game with its armour, weapons, movement, vision and description. Open it from the Help menu, or from any unit's info panel in the middle of a battle. Rebuilt menus Settings is now organised into tabs, with dropdown lists in place of the old cycling buttons. The difficulty screen separates picking a difficulty from starting the battle, and explains Combat Results and Difficulty separately instead of both at once. New scrollbars and sliders throughout, consistent on every screen. Pass to Next Player Two player games have a new hand-over screen between turns, showing the scenario, the turn and who is up next.
