On a monsoon summer night, an apprentice, a healer, and a warrior gather around a fire. One has come for refuge, another for healing, and the last to discover her truth. As each woman begins to tell her story, she finds she has so securely wrapped herself in silence that it is difficult to find a way out. In the glow of the fire and the warmth of their companions, help them find a way to tell their stories. Sometimes it’s hard to speak. Sometimes it takes a few tries to say what you need to say. Our stories aren’t linear. And sometimes detours are necessary. To get your emotions out before forging on. To sit in a safe moment before venturing into the harder ones. To acknowledge that there isn’t just one truth to your story, but many truths that exist at the same time. Explore different paths through each character’s life and help them reach the words they need to say. Since she was young, Sakari has been searching for magic. Not the everyday kind, but the kind that changes people, body and soul. The kind that is, sadly, illegal.
