- Idle Squire - corner of your screen, idle roguelite RPG went LIVE! - 6 May 2026
It's been a while - and I know some of you showed genuine interest about this game! I wanted to come back and let you know: Idle Squire is officially live on Steam! You train your squire by simply working at your PC. Every keystroke is an attack. The more you type, the stronger your squire gets - then you send them into dungeons, collect loot, unlock weapons, and build your build. It's a proper idle game built for people who actually work at a computer all day.Would love to hear what you think - especially from anyone who tried the demo or wishlisted it. Happy to answer any questions too.
- Demo Updated for the Next Fest! - 22 February 2026
Hey everyone, Just a quick update that the Idle Squire will participate in the Steam Next Fest and it also got a nice update on the balance stability and content (added more roguelite skills for the DEMO).
- After a busy few months – new trailer and demo - 1 February 2026
Hey everyone,The past few months have been pretty busy on my side, but things are moving along nicely. I’ve just uploaded a new trailer and the public demo for Idle Squire is now live. The trailer does a much better job of showing what the game is actually about, and the demo lets you try it for yourself – the little squire running in the corner of your screen, training as you type and diving into dungeons when you feel like it.There’s still more to improve and add, but everything’s going smoothly so far. If you give the demo a try, I’d love to hear what you think. Thanks for sticking around and wishlisting – it really helps more than you might think.
- Still here! A small update and some quiet progress - 23 November 2025
Hey everyone, Life happened, and development slowed down a bit - but Idle Squire is very much alive! I’ve been sneaking in some work whenever I can: a few optimizations, small fixes, and bits of polish here and there.Nothing flashy this time, just keeping the project moving forward. Hoping to get back into a steadier rhythm in the coming days. Thanks for sticking around and wishlisting - it really helps keep the motivation going!
- New launcher and multiple save files coming soon! - 5 October 2025
Hey everyone,A quick update! Idle Squire will have a multiple save file support, which I’m currently finishing up. Soon you’ll be able to have separate runs - experiment with different builds, or just keep a backup for fun. I’ve also added a new frame around the game window to make it stand out more on the desktop - it feels a bit more like a proper little companion sitting in the corner now. It’s a small but important step toward a cleaner, more flexible experience. Thanks for following the development and all the wishlists so far!
- Your little squire in the corner - 27 September 2025
Sometimes the best place for an RPG isn’t fullscreen at all - it’s right there in the corner of your screen while you do other things. Here’s how Idle Squire looks running alongside a regular desktop. The squire trains, fights, and grows stronger quietly in the background, while you keep working, browsing, or gaming. The idea is simple: a small companion RPG that’s always with you, leveling up as time goes by.
- A little step toward launch – the game icon - 21 September 2025
Hey folks, This is a small one, but it’s a fun milestone: the icon that will show up in your Steam library once Idle Squire is out. It’s just a tiny picture, but for me it makes the project feel closer to being real. Next time you’ll see this icon, it’ll be in your own library.
- Artifacts – little treasures for your squire - 14 September 2025
Hey everyone, I wanted to share one of the systems I’ve been working on: artifacts. These are rare items your squire can discover while adventuring, and each one gives a permanent bonus. Over time, collecting them adds up and slowly turns your little helper into something much stronger. Some early examples:Rusty Ring of Fortune – boosts gold income, even while you’re awayAncient Quill – increases experience gained while typingGoblet of Valor – adds strength for dungeon runs Artifacts are a collectible system. You’ll be finding lots of them, and later on you can merge duplicates to improve their rarity and power.
- An Idle RPG for Your Screen Corner - 6 September 2025
Hey everyone, I’ve been quietly working on a small side project called Idle Squire – and the Steam page is finally live! 🎉 It’s an idle RPG that runs in the corner of your screen. Your little squire fights monsters while you type, work, or browse. Sometimes I joke that it’s my coworker - always grinding while I’m grinding. This isn’t a “quit my job, risk everything” story. I make this game because I genuinely enjoy building it. It’s my way of relaxing instead of playing other games - slowly putting pieces together after work, between family life, or whenever I find the time. If the idea of a tiny knight battling while you go about your day sounds fun, check out the page and hit wishlist. That would help a lot!
