Hello, As the Beta moves forward, we're starting to take our time to analyze all the data we have gathered, and figure out the next steps towards Early Access. While the Early Access will have a bunch of new content and exciting features that we are already working on, we will keep patching the game with bug fixes and minor updates. In particular this patch contains fixes for 3 bugs that have been preventing players from getting into the game or game modes. Hi Everyone! It's been two weeks since we launched the Beta. At this point many of you would have had the time to play some or all the tutorials, and maybe gotten to the point where you have started trying the game features. Thanks to you we have started realizing some of our weaknesses: Our tutorials are too long and not skippable. There are game settings that should be there which absence is preventing players to get to the game. Moving to more languages is important. The game is not making it easy for players to connect with other players. The UI flow still doesn't make it easy to understand how to move forward with the game after the tutorials. And many more! We are very excited to announce that Soul Shards will be soon entering an Exclusive Closed Beta with the Alienware Arena community. For this Beta, we will release new content and features, as well as some exclusive items for the participants. It is scheduled to start at the end of July. We will be postponing the open Early Access until after the Beta. - Closed Alpha extended/Early Access postponed - 24 April 2018
After some weeks of running our Closed Alpha we have started to gather the feedback from our first players: the brave souls that have decided to support Soul Shards in its first and very rough exposition to the community. Thanks to the community's feedback we have found out that the game needs polishing in certain areas before it gets further exposition. Because of this and after careful deliberation, we have decided to extend the Closed Alpha until the end of Second Quarter 2018. As a result, the Early Access will be postponed until the Closed Alpha finishes.
