- Wuppo Chinese Translation 1.4 Update + minor fixes [Definitive Edition 1.0.61] - 29 January 2025
Hello, and Happy Spring Festival!🎇 The incredible Chinese community has bundled their powers to create an extensive update to the Chinese localization of Wuppo! This 1.4 update contains many improvements, more localized background art, as well as modified character names to better suit the Chinese language. There is also an option for Chinese 1.4 classic, which still has all the classic names (in case you grew attached to them)! Massive thanks to 江与山风, vimove, 橡皮 and the rest of the community! Also, a few minor bugs have been fixed. Wisest Wum text now appears correctly when playing without the smoothness setting. Happiness from filmstrips is fixed. - Wuppo Patch Notes [Definitive Edition 1.0.41] fixes - 4 February 2022
Hey everyone. It's been a long time (again)! Fixes: Some minor bugs have been fixed. Potential fix for rare dialogue soft-lock bug. There's been a rare bug where some people get soft-locked for a minute after trying to progress a dialogue. I've never been able to replicate the issue, but thanks to the victims of the bug & through the power of communication I think I may have determined the cause of the issue and rewrote the system that I suspect was causing it. If you've been running into this issue and couldn't continue playing due to this, please give version 1.0.41 a try. It would also be great if you could comment here or message in Discord whether this fixed it for you. The engine has been ported from Gamemaker Studio 2.2 to Gamemaker Studio 2.3. The new software syntax is much stricter so this required many manual changes. We tested everything as much as we could and took care of…

I messed up and caused 2 bugs in the last updates (1.0.32 & 1.0.33): Steam integration was not working properly (online leaderboards for the train minigame) an error appeared when cooks ran out of the Kitchen in the Wumhouse Both are fixed in Definitive Edition 1.0.34. Sorry for the inconvenience! Thanks for reporting the issues. Other than that, the only visible thing I added was a link to our Kickstarter and fixed a bug where Carlo didn't jump back into his office after fighting him in the lobby. However... Minimap The game now features a minimap. Finally. Accesed by pausing the game. Displays the rooms you have visited thus far, divided by area. Displays save buckets, stores, projectors and where you are. Also displays yellow flags to help guide you with finishing your current story objective. Displays some sidequests (not all of them!) with white question marks. I'll be adding a bunch more of these throughout the next update(s). Pause screen also displays the name of the area you are currently in, plus your current story objective. Hi! You may have noticed that the last version (1.1.92~1.1.93) introduced a very ...nasty glitch where items can get lost after placing them on pedestals and leaving the room. We're very sorry for the inconvenience! It should be fixed in the new version (1.1.95). To compensate you for the inconvenience, there is a chance that you get 50 smurt and a party mooper depending on whether the game recognizes that your savefile has suffered from the glitch. It will also add back the missing items to your inventory.
