- Flinthook review - kinetic platforming that's perfect for Switch - 13 March 2018
There's a sort of voodoo pelican guy in Flinthook - I think it's voodoo, and I think it's a pelican. Anyway, this guy lobs flaming red skulls at you whenever you meet, and those skulls! Oh my! Those skulls are just the loveliest things. They're like the skulls in Towerfall: 2D art and animation of sufficiently magical quality to convince the mind that you're actually looking at a 3D asset as it spins towards you. I could get hit and killed by those flaming red skulls all day. Just as I could be killed by the insouciant guy who throws blades at you, spreading blades that fly from the hands of an insouciant guy whose very demeanor allows the pixel art to convey with real certainty that this character is definitely French. "-MouseMode=" RadialFreeMoonwalk being the default. Improvements Good ending now also unlocks the bad ending achievement. (note: will have to beat the last boss again to get the achievement) Fixes Fixed volume display in options menu.

This is a pretty important update. We take people's comments seriously. With this one we needed to take our time, digest everyone's input on this and go back to the drawing board. During our prototype phase, we toyed with dual stick controls and couldn't get them to the level of satisfaction we we're looking for. Regardless, we decided to give it another go. Now that all the pieces of the game are in place, it's easier to take a step back and find the best solution. We still feel like the default option is more accessible but we think giving an option for the more hardcore players is also important. Give it a try for yourself. Improvements Improved hook shot targeting to prioritize bubbles. Raised the time limit between some damage-over-time effects to -1 hp/20 seconds. Balanced the ComboBlaster perk to increase critical bonus at a rate of 1%/combo, max of 40% bonus. Made Midas Blast require less gold to deal extra damage, 2 damage/500 gold. Made the fire rate reduction on FiercerBlaster less severe, and increase the damage bonus: -40% fire rate/+50% shot damage. Fixes Fixed loc editor. Some characters are not properly supported when publishing. Fixed daily and weekly challenges timing Fixed a room where you could be stuck in between walls. Fixed damage over time effects Fixed crushers being hidden when re-entering a room. Fixed launcher validate to check for x86 versions of dependencies. Minor render priority fixes to the end of level cutscene. Minor text fixes
