Dear Freelancers, It’s with a heavy heart that we announce today that the Atlas Reactor servers will be shutting down. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly, but we have come to the conclusion that the game can no longer sustain itself. Mervin Lee Kwai, Vice President of Development at gamigo and a former Executive Producer: “Atlas Reactor was a truly innovative game built by a passionate group of highly skilled developers. I was lucky enough to watch our team breathe life into the world of Atlas on a daily basis. They broke the mold of same-y games, and a dedicated community rallied around the title. - Atlas Reactor is powering down on June 28th - 17 April 2019
Free-to-play squad tactics game Atlas Reactor is the next on 2019’s already dark-stained chopping block. Announced today , Trion Worlds have shut off all premium purchasing options in the game, and made everything available through play until the servers shut down on June 28th. They’re straightforward and candid about the reason for shutting it down, saying that “Despite the support of this great group of fans, Atlas Reactor never grew big enough to fund its continued development”. These same issues also caused some players to have trouble accessing games. We’ve released fixes for the majority of these issues, but we have an update coming for Glyph that should be the final step to resolving this completely. Unfortunately, players using older versions of Glyph won’t be able to update to this newest version. There shouldn’t be any downtime at all for our other games. Most players likely won’t notice anything has happened, but we just wanted to give you all a head’s up. However, during this maintenance, there is a chance that you may be disconnected from one of our other games. If this happens, fear not! You should be able to login again immediately. In the very worst-case scenario we’ll need to perform a restart on the servers for any game experiencing connection issues. Once the restart is complete, you’ll be able to play normally again.
