• Drive Your Way with Two Controller Schemas - 15 May 2026

  Welcome back to another update for Wacky Drivers. Today we're talking about something fundamental: how you actually control your car. Since the early days of the project, I've used a "Point-and-Go" system (my favorite). It's intuitive, it works great on mobile, and it makes the game feel snappy. But as we've moved towards a full Steam release and added Split screen support, I realized that not everyone wants to drive the same way. That's why I've implemented a second controller schema! You can now choose between the "Direct Direction" mode and the "Classic Racing" mode in the settings.1. Direct Direction (The "Point-and-Go" Classic) This has been our default since day one.   Development on Wacky Drivers is moving forward, and I’m excited to share two features that have been a big focus recently: local splitscreen and Steam achievements.Local splitscreen allows two players to race together on the same screen, bringing a more social, couch-friendly experience to the game. Wacky Drivers is designed around fast arcade races, and splitscreen adds a whole new layer of chaos, competition, and fun—especially when battling for position or trying to knock each other off the ideal racing line.Alongside that, the game now supports Steam achievements. These are designed to reward progression, skill, and experimentation across different modes and difficulties.
