    For a long time, the investigation ended at the surface.It no longer does.A path has been uncovered leading far beneath the forest — deeper than originally documented.Chapter 2 is now accessible.What lies below is unstable. The structure shifts. Rearranges itself. No descent feels exactly the same.Something changes underground.The familiar signal that guided previous investigations… does not exist there.No radio transmissions. No external guidance. No voice waiting on the other side.Only silence.This sector remains in an early state of reconstruction. Further anomalies and structural changes are expected soon.The deeper sections were never meant to be found.Yet here we are.

  • A008 – Signal Adjusted - 3 May 2026

    The voice over the radio has changed. It no longer speaks as clearly as before, but it still points in the right direction — if you listen carefully.Access to the area has been extended. More of the forest can now be explored.This report comes in late. The changes are already in effect.A playable demo is now available, covering only a limited portion of Chapter 1. The full game includes the entire area.Further changes are underway. The forest is becoming less predictable. More paranormal encounters and hallucinations are planned.More adjustments are coming.

    Recovered data has allowed parts of the map to be restored — and new areas to take shape.The entire Chapter 1 map is now accessible for exploration.Some sections were rebuilt, others newly created. The forest is larger now.The game is not yet fully prepared for progression across the entire area, but this will be completed soon. Estimated time: 1–2 weeks.More updates are coming as Chapter 1 approaches completion.Move forward - There’s more to see now!

  • Data Corruption - 17 March 2026

    A critical issue caused the first chapter map data to become corrupted, making the area unstable and unusable.The map has been fully restored from backup and rebuilt, resolving terrain issues such as holes and broken geometry.Exploration should now be stable again.Due to this issue and the required rebuild, the full release of first chapter will be delayed...It’s more important to get it right than to rush it.The forest holds together once more.

    A few things in the forest have changed.Fog slightly adjusted.A new sign has appeared.The first train station has been renamed.The demo boundary now fades into rock instead of an invisible barrier.Other changes are happening deeper in the map… but that part of the forest remains closed for now.

    Changes Implemented:Reworked fog rendering — the effect is now stable and consistent regardless of camera angle or sun position.Resolved the “darkness pop” issue that caused sudden lighting shifts when changing perspective.Corrected foliage lighting — removed unnatural, completely black shadow pools.Flashlight behavior has been adjusted to properly interact with foliage and surrounding geometry.These changes significantly improve nighttime exploration, enhance environmental tension, and ensure more realistic light behavior across the open world.

They are subtle, grounded in the world, and designed to help players recognize where they are and how different locations connect — without turning the map into a checklist.DEADLIST still expects you to pay attention.
