- Update 1: New Tutorial and Weekly Leaderboards - 25 June 2026
Changes: New tutorial Alpha and Beta leaderboards are weekly Game hints are shown between stages Optimizations Details: This update brings with it a brand new tutorial that we originally developed for demoing the game live at both Nordic Games in Sweden and Vancouver Game Garden. The new tutorial should streamline the first time experience for new users while giving them all the knowledge they need to take on Marrow Marrow. Along with the new tutorial we've also added some helpful hints that show up between levels. Hints can be disabled in settings under HUD. Lastly, we've long felt that the duration of the Alpha and Beta leaderboards put unnecessary pressure on players to play multiple runs on the same day. While we want to encourage players who are passionate about the game, we also want Marrow Marrow to be a game that you can hop into for a single round without feeling like you didn'…

- DEVLOG: Visual Update - 5 April 2026
Hi everyone! In preparation for our upcoming launch on April 16th, we’ve been cooking up lots of new improvements to the game. There’s been a lot of bugfixes, gameplay improvements based on Next Fest feedback, and much much more. Today we want to focus on one of the bigger tasks, a big update to the visual identity of the game.Over the last few weeks we’ve been testing out lots of different ways to improve the visual language. When tackling this task we had three primary goals:Keep the identity of the game intactImprove legibilityEmbrace bold visualsTiles and TexturesPreviously the textures on the walls and the floor had a tendency to blend together, especially at a distance. This was rarely an issue for gameplay but we still felt there was room for improvement. Also, the levels didn’t have a ton of color variance overall which left them feeling a bit drab and boring. As such, all three…

- Devlog: Inspiration for the game - 11 February 2026
Hello there! In today’s devlog, we want to share some insights about our inspiration for the game! Let’s jump right in! Establishing our core Many VR shooters focus on actions unique to the VR format, such as manually reloading weapons or physically utilizing coverage to evade enemy fire. From the very start, the intention was to make a game that benefits from the level of immersion that only VR can provide while staying true to the fast-paced, no-nonsense experience of conventional FPS classics. Movement and Enemies Our movement mechanics have gone through many iterations, and the way you play it now is almost nothing like the initial prototype version. Originally, you spent a lot more time airborne, meaning the levels had to be larger and more open. Dashing and wall sliding came later; initially, everything was done with the claw. Likewise, the enemies were also all flying and only us…

- Devlog: Playtest - 18 December 2025
🦴 Hello there! 👀 In today’s devlog, we want to share some insights about our upcoming Playtest! Let’s jump right in! We are very excited to announce our first playtest period for both Meta and Steam, running from January 9th to January 23rd! This playtest aims to give players a sneak peek of the game, as well as provide an opportunity to gather feedback directly from our players. We welcome all feedback that you might have, but the most important aspects to us are technical issues, difficulty level, and the overall VR experience. We’ve put a lot of work into making the game feel smooth, responsive, and intuitive, but with VR, it is often the small things that make a big difference, so getting feedback from a large group of players will help us eliminate any issues that might have slipped through the cracks. The playtest will feature the full version of Marrow Marrow. This version feat…
