- Small update and News!!! - 5 August 2026
Hello and welcome to all new players! Your support is greatly appreciated!! In this dark age of the game industry, support for small creators goes a very long way. I hope you enjoy that glowy nugget of goodness I know exists within the game. I’m working on the game every day to ensure you get more bang for your buck as the game moves towards final release! Notes about this Small Update: -Some assets were still rendered incorrectly on “imp-o-vision” at the Hyperion IV map and have been fixed. -The player’s light has been tweaked to make it look like it comes off the helmet. -The markers on the compass move a bit smoother now. -The worm’s reaction is a bit faster after being hit. Quick note… The controller is still not supported in-menus, but it is fully supported during gameplay. For some time the firing button wasn't working and that was fixed. Menu support for controllers is coming in…
- Player light fix - 8 July 2026
The player light has been modified to be a lot further out making it not shine bright on the gun. There was a fill light that was removed and now it is only a spot light. Feels a lot more immersive.
- Better Camera Fix - 3 July 2026
The player camera has received another update. The big fix here is that the previous update caused other issues that were perhaps worse than the lowering camera bug. As of now the camera will zoom in slightly into the player's perspective near the head when it is close to the wall. I've done a couple missions like this already and it seems to be the best option so far. We will keep an eye on this!
- Water glitch fix and No Collision on Player Camera - 30 June 2026
For a while it has been annoying that when close to a wall, the camera will collide and move down and the view is blocked. Removing the collision seems to fix the problem, although admittedly a true solution might be a bit more complicated than this. We'll see how it goes. The water in the Hyperion III sector was glitching out, as it is a finicky piece of shader/blueprint, that one. On this note there is an unfortunate side effect of the player being split into different meshes for customization - the player no longer creates ripples or splashes on the water. This is being looked into!
- Loadout Fix! and Levels now Need to be Unlocked. - 23 June 2026
The levels are now locked except for the first one. Complete each level and the next one will be unlocked. If you had visited each world before, well, not much has changed. Except now you earn your ticket to them! There was a glaring bug on the Loadout where equipping the gloves would replace the legs, the legs the boots, in a weird loop. That has been fixed! There are 2 remaining Loadout bugs that I still haven't been able to figure out that are: - If you equip any helmet except the default one, when you come back to the loadout the character will be static. If you click on any helmet icon, the animations return. Not game breaking, but a bit annoying. - There is a slight chance that you won't be able to rotate the character in the loadout menu when you return from a mission complete.
- Visual and Animation Fix - 5 June 2026
-There were some remaining badly rendered 'imp-o-vision' sections in the Hyperion III underhalls, that has been fixed. This was very jarring so fixing it was kind of a critical fix. Hopefully no visor vision bugs remain. If you see anything please report in these forums. -The left arm had some funkiness, the hand was a bit too far from the gun, that has been remediated.
- Visual fix for Amalthea IV - 31 May 2026
There was a lot of visor-view conflict in the material over the whole level. Big visual bug that got by me but it should all be fixed now.
- Critical Fix - 28 May 2026
A section in Charon IX RSA was open for the player to fall in and never come out. That was game breaking so it has been fixed! Along with this change I took the chance to fix: -Badly rendered alien growth -Gaps in the alien growth that made it seem like the player wasn't touching it
- Profit Fix - 21 May 2026
For a brief time any profit acquired from worms would be saved even if you quit the game. That and other profit bugs have been fixed. Hopefully last quick fix for a while!
- Quick fix! - 21 May 2026
The enemies were glitching when close to the player and that was an unintended side effect from some of the new cosmetic attachments on the player. The issue has been fixed! Apologies for that!
- Market and Loadout code is done! - 20 May 2026
Finally an update! A major one: The Market and Loadout are done! This means that l can now focus on adding more content, optimizing and polishing. The armor and weapon parts will have stats that affect gameplay, but this is not in yet. I apologize for that but that is an element that will require more testing and new code. Working as fast as I can to get these changes in soon! There is a chance that with this update, your PROFIT might be reset. I majorly apologize for this, but if you were in debt, then this is good. In case this happens to you, feel free to report it on the Steam Community Hub.-Descriptions for missions have been updated to add a bit more clarity on what to do per mission.-Visual fixes for the Charon IX Recycling Sector map, many of the alien growths were not placed correctly on the landscape.
- Wed, March 11th Quick Update! - Mouse / Controller Options added - 12 March 2026
Controller is not 100% supported yet (no menus) but it is functional during gameplay for those that might want to try it! For now the official description of this update is more about messing with mouse sensitivity or inverting the look axis. The sensitivity and axis works equally for both the controller and mouse for now. Separate options are coming soon!
- Saturday March 7th Quick Update! - 7 March 2026
-All computers in Hyperion III will now have an audio clip along with the text. This has been achieved with an old speech emulator that has that perfect rough around the edges feel to it. -The compass in Hyperion III will also now correctly display the directions along with any direction tips spoken by the computers. -Typos in computer dialogs have been addressed. -Some songs have some new sounds added at the beginning to prevent a crunching compression sound. -Overall levels for guitar sound have been improved.
- Thursday March 5th update! - 5 March 2026
-Aiming animation has been slowed. -Refinery exhausts are now gone after explosion, although for now all modules share the same one. -Space 'night' atmosphere has been added to Hyperion III. -Fixed a blank texture rock that would show up in the third Hyperion III iteration. -Added new epic guitar song! Optimization Efforts: -More texture size reduction -Compass markers are now only showing what is in range and no longer update on tick. Not as visually smooth, but works the same. -Casting functions have been reduced in all enemy behaviors. Casting is an Unreal function that can be expensive. -Anything that was on tick is now on a timer or on a pre-made animation. Tick functions can also be expensive.
- Destructible Refinery Modules are now in! - 12 February 2026
February, 11th 2026-Destructible refinery modules are now in! Worm swarms will slowly chip away at their health and eventually destroy them. It will cost you $12,500 per building destroyed. This should raise the stakes for the mission. If you want to get all the profit available, make sure they survive the mission.-Visor can be used at any time! The IMP's visor can now be activated at will by pressing "V". Be aware that in bright, daytime levels, the switch between the visor and regular sight can be a bit jarring.-Another set for Charon IX has been added called Recycling Sector A.-Minor bugs keep being addressed and major updates are being worked on! Stay tuned for more! Go IMP!
- Relic Cases now in! - 11 January 2026
At the moment only available in Charon IX and Hyperion III, these relic cases are hidden in the most far out corners of the map. They aren't easy to find so you might need a keen eye. Charon IX has 1 and Hyperion III up to 5! Good luck!
- Wednesday, Jan 7th '26 update - 8 January 2026
PATCH: Wednesday, January 7th 2026 -Hyperion III: Fixes hives spawning worms when the player is walking the under halls.-Hyperion III: Now all houses should have a red light to entice the player to search for Keycard.-Hyperion III: Egg spawned worms are slightly faster.-Hyperion III: Upside down particle FX coming from worm hives now have a fixed orientation.-Hyperion III: Electric worms near the under hall entrance no longer get stuck. -Amalthea IV: Ice chunks were causing strange performance issues so they have been removed until a fix is found.-Amalthea IV: Eggs are now much easier to pop and have the same health points across all levels.
- IMP is out on Early Access now! - 1 January 2026
Hey all! I pressed the button last night and IMP is out, live in the universe! There is still a TON of work ahead and I'm nothing but super excited to be on this journey. Should be an interesting couple years for the development of the game, there are all these new ideas I want to try and also would love to hear from you!
