- Dust Fleet v6.4.10 - 5 February 2026
Greetings commanders!Today's patch has a small change to the game, for those commanders who like to play... a certain way. I'm talking about those commanders who like to build their fleets by accepting "hull donations" from their enemies. Now when you issue a capture order with a group of APCs, all the APCs will get involved. The previous behaviour would only send the minimum number of APCs required, so if any of them were destroyed, the capture would fail.Happy capturing!Full patch notes below.CHANGEAll selected APCs will now be sent when a capture order was given, instead of the minimum number required to capture.FIXESOn Heist Part II, the captured Bergen Delta awarded to the player was not equipped with the heavy battle lasers that can be seen during the mission. On Heist Part II, the relay stations could be captured. After loading a saved game, ships set to hold fire may begin firing.…
- Dust Fleet v6.4.9 - 20 January 2026
Greetings, Commanders!Ongoing maintenance of your battle computers continues with another small update this week. Many of you have requested that the Knight MkII and Wolf MkII be available in the standard shipyard, since these ships are still fairly low-tier. I've pulled a few strings with the Admiralty, and they've agreed!Patch summary:CHANGE: Knight MkII and Wolf MkII can now be built at Standard Shipyards.FIX: Loadout list on the loadout view sometimes cuts off the bottom ships if the list is long.Stay safe out there, commanders!

Please do leave a review of the game, it helps a lot with visibility. And if you see any bugs, you can find out how to report them here. CHANGES Performance improvements. Balance update. Heavy laser was incorrectly doing as much damage as the heavy battle laser. Heavy laser damage decreased 400->320, placing it between the medium laser and heavy battle laser for damage output. FIX Memory leak caused by missions ending during intense combat.

Thanks for being part of Dust Fleet's community, and please do leave a review if you haven't already - it really does help! Fixes Some objective-specific rewards are not given if a game is reloaded mid-mission. Assigning fighters to a loadout did not persist in some circumstances. When changing a turret or module in the loadout editor, the tooltip did not update.
- Dust Fleet v6.4.4 - 13 August 2025
Hello commanders. The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed an update to your battle computers. This update addresses the last of the stability issues, which was affecting a small number of players. There's also a few minor fixes included, one of them fixing a major debuff to the "Local Contacts" location effect. Thanks are due once again to our community of helpful commanders for helping identify some of these issues. Thank you for making the game better for everyone. If you've been playing Dust Fleet please do leave a review. It helps the game a lot. Fixes The game would freeze up in certain battle situations. Local contacts location effect boost was only 1.5% instead of 150%. D-SEC heavy cruisers would occasionally pathfind into each other. Setting faction colour in Sector Assault only set it for UEN, even if D-SEC was chosen. In the sector assault menu, the ship preview did not chan…
- Dust Fleet v6.4.3 - 4 August 2025
Greetings commanders! You may have noticed a few small updates to your battle computers over the past few days. I've been tracking a few rare but annoying freeze bugs that some players have experienced. I'm pleased to report that with the releases over the past few days, and today's release in particular, these issues should be eliminated. Apologies to all commanders who have encountered these issues, and thanks to those that have provided information and bug reports. As always, I'll continue to track bug reports to ensure this space dragon has been slain! Here's a summary of fixes from the last few days: FIXES v6.4.1: In some situations, the post-battle screen would not appear, and the campaign would not continue until the game was restarted. v6.4.1: Ship icons appeared in front of some UI elements. v6.4.2: Changed post-battle scene cleanup to address some stability issues. v6.4.3: Gam…
- Dust Fleet v6.4 - 25 July 2025
Greetings from the Dust Zone, commanders! It's come to my attention that some of you like to throw around some BIG fleets in your campaign and Sector Assault games. Well, this update is for you! I've been aboard a science station in the Thoricus Sector working tirelessly on Dust Fleet's internals. I've rebuilt a lot of the battle code to make use of some of those spare cores your CPUs have lying around. The end result is big performance gains for users on low and mid range CPUs! You'll find Dust Fleet running about twice as well as it used to during big battles. And that's not all. There are improvements to game load/save times. On the starmap turns are now processed a little quicker. For players who make enormous sector assault games you probably saw a little bit of hitching and stuttering during turns - that's now gone, and turns will process in a much more buttery-smooth fashion. And…
- Dust Fleet v6.3.1 - 7 May 2025
Hello commanders! A small bugfix is now being deployed to your battle terminals. Here are the details: Fixes The Clydesdale-S could not be reverse engineered in Sector Assault Captured ships could not be refitted to a new loadout if the player only has one loadout available for that ship class. Stay safe out there, commanders!
- Dust Fleet v6.3 - 13 January 2025
Hello commanders! Another small update today for your battle computers. Some commanders reported a few intermittent issues. The techs have been looking over those reports and come up with some fixes. Thanks are due to the bold commanders who supplied information leading to these fixes. Their invaluable help has been noted in their personnel files, and Admiral Connelly is preparing a firm handshakes for them all as we speak. FIXES After a battle involving fighters, on rare occasions the game could became stuck while processing the next turn. When dragging a ship to create a new fleet on the starmap side panel, a ship different to the one that was selected was sometimes used. When a fleet was retreating from battle, it may instead have got deleted if it had never moved from the location it was built. If a battle was exited during certain points in a cutscene, it could cause the next battl…

It's been really wonderful to turn your helpful feedback into real improvements. Thank you all for helping make Dust Fleet a better game. Season's greetings, commanders! We're releasing a small patch today to correct a few issues that were reported with the Sector Assault update. As always, please report any issues you come across so they can be fixed as quickly as possible. To leave a bug report, see this thread. Also, it really helps small games like Dust Fleet if you have the time to leave a review, so please do if you can! Now, onto the fixes! FIXES 3-way battle did not work correctly when player withdrew from battle. The location was still shown as contested, preventing moving to the next turn. With this fix, if a battle location is contested on return to the starmap, the game now runs an autobattle between the remaining enemies to find a winner. Ocelot could not be reverse-engineered when playing as D-SEC. Odyssey did not have enough dock points to be captured with APCs. Withdraw button sometimes did not disappear c…

And if you already own Dust Fleet, there's something for you too. Update #5 is live right now. Welcome, commanders, to The Sector Assault Update. I've been picking up hypercom messages from all the brave commanders continuing the fight in Sector Assault mode, requesting new features and improvements. - Dust Fleet v5.7 - 30 July 2024
Hello commanders! Another day, another update! Today, I have two more requested changes from players. I think you're going to like both of them, but the headline is that bottlenecks from hyperspace exits are now a thing of the past! Even big fleets can pour out of the wormhole without delay. Enjoy! If you're enjoying Dust Fleet, or even if you're not, why not leave a review? It really helps small games like Dust Fleet to get seen. To leave a bug report, see this thread. On with the patch notes! CHANGES Exits from hyperspace are now less restrictive, meaning far less waiting for the wormhole exit to clear, so your ships arrive as quickly as possible. The Advanced shipyard can now also build all the ships from the Standard shipyard. Remember you can always stop by the Orbiting Discord to chat with me or like-minded players.
- Dust Fleet v5.6 - 29 July 2024
Hello commanders! A small update today to address feedback from some very helpful players. Please keep the suggestions coming, and a review is always appreciated. If you experience any issues, please follow the steps in this thread to report them. Changes Lance moved up a level on the tech tree, and research cost reduced. Odyssey research now requires the Oslo to be researched first. Fixes Repair ships ignored repair orders for ships that do not have turrets, such as APCs. On the starmap, some enemy ship lists for missions were inaccurate.
- Dust Fleet v5.5 - 11 July 2024
Hello commanders! After every update, I keep a close eye on player feedback and work to fix issues as quickly as possible. I also want to say that I've been really pleased by the response since The Reinforcements Update came out - thanks to everyone who has been making great suggestions, helping me uncover issues, and writing reviews. And as always, I ask that you please do leave a review if you can. I can't overstate how much even a single review can help small indie games like Dust Fleet. If you find a bug, there's advice on the discussion forums on how to report it. All patch notes are available on Discord as soon as any update is released, but I release fixes so regularly I don't post them all here. Instead, I do round-ups like this o…

Welcome to Monday, commanders. Here's the patch notes for the latest Dust Fleet update addressing some feedback from the community. This is fixed for future occurrances, but any affected ships in saved games will remain affected. Destroyed squadron fighters being immediately rebuilt with low health upon docking, instead of waiting for other ships to complete build/repair first.
