About this game
The Traveling Witch in Animal Town is a hand-drawn platformer with a unique, turn-based combat system derived from a magical bag of charms set inside a living storybook. In a village once home to a cozy community of talking animals, something has gone terribly wrong. Their once peaceful town has been overrun by a scourge most foul! Upon receiving a desperate plea for help delivered by Atlas the Moth, you must help the animals reclaim their history, their homes, and their barley soup. Decide the order in which to liberate animals' homes. Fill your bag with rare and wonderous charms as you defeat evil usurpers, curating a mix of nigh infinite possibilities. Will you start by clearing Pigeon's Birdhouse to gather the whimsical charms of the thrushes, or dive straight down The Rabbit Hole in search of earthly charms that buff and bolster? You will enjoy: Exploring Jon Carling's worlds in a classic, 2D side-scroller where choice and interaction supersede dexterity Unique charm-based battles offering thousands of possibilities while remaining effortless to pick up Limitless replay as non-linear levels and randomized charm rewards make each run unique Living Art: Dreamt, drawn, and animated entirely by the hand of renowned artist, Jon Carling . Written by NYC Midnight winning author, Shane Riczu . With an original score and sound design by visionary composer, Casey Chisholm . Strategic Liberation: Explore the creepy transformations of the village's residences at the hands of a mysterious evil, restoring them to their original states through cunning and guile. Non-Linear Storytelling: The narrative guides you, but the path is yours. Choose the order in which you tackle the levels to optimize your strategy and replay value. Grow With The Village: Restore the village to life. As you clear buildings, you gain charms and unlock curious value from the animals returning to their abodes.
