  Surprise! ːsamorost_spiritː The very first Samorost game, originally released in 2003, is now available as FREE download on Steam. It is the first time this game is made available as a standalone game, as opposed to the previous web browser (Flash) release. Aside from this PC and Mac release, you can also download Samorost 1 for free to your iOS and Android devices. This new version of Samorost 1 comes with remastered and newly recorded sounds, enhanced graphics, full-screen support, and brand new music by Floex (Tomáš Dvořák), the composer from Machinarium and Samorost 2 and 3.   Remember Samorost 2 ? I don’t, admittedly, but then I was only ten years old when the whimsical space gnome set off on his second adventure. Fortunately, now’s the perfect time to check out the pint-sized sequel, with the developers dropping a surprise anniversary update bringing the stylish 2005 point ‘n’ click up to date with enhanced visuals, new sounds, quality of life improvements and full Mac support. • Samorost 2 Just Got a Major Update For Its 15th Anniversary - 5 November 2020

  Hello! As many of you noticed, there was an update coming for a while - and it just landed on Steam! The new enhanced version now runs in full-screen and with improved visuals, achieving higher resolution of assets thanks to a custom trained AI. Sounds have been revised and often re-recorded, too, giving the main character a wider range of vocal expressions, and more. The list of improvements continues with a new opening screen, simplified user interface, minor tweaks in game design, and achievements support. The outdated, level code-based save system was replaced with a more user-friendly level selection in the main menu. There's also the new zoom feature that allows you to explore the world from up close.   A new Humble Bundle has launched, celebrating the games of Amanita Design -- including the newcomer, Botanicula . The nature-themed adventure title is the standout of the set, but it includes five games in all for paying above the minimum. Plus, true to the game's message, you can contribute to a conservation charity. The two-week promotion starts today, and you can purchase your bundle at the official site .
