  • Core Splitter is playable, join the playtest now! - 15 February 2026

As of the 15th of February 2026 Core Splitter has entered it's first Playtest phase ːsteamhappyː Thanks to those who already started playing. The game is in a ready to play state with a subset of technologies/features locked behind a "demo locked" gate. If you are interested in participating, feel free to request access which will immediately be granted.

  • Advanced underground drill mechanics - #Devlog 2 - 25 January 2026

The Core Splitter Drill #Devlog 2In the previous version of Core Splitter, there was no interactive component to the Core Splitter Drill. It was just casually drilling ang progressing. That needed to change. So I added the Underground Drill View. Here's an early prototype version of that: With the prototype I verified that it definitely added to the experience so I made it more advanced and added the real assets:At this point it was was fun to look at but I quickly lost interest, there was no reason to open this screen anymore. Here's an update on how that's been going over the last two months: A new look and feelI have ditched most of the assets from the old prototype (left) and replaced them with brand new ones that are now fully animated. Particularly the belts look much better and smoother in motion as they now use a spline path rather than animated sprites. All animated buildings and new beltsEvery building in the game will be fully animated. New features:Combat overhaul: I have completely reworked combat. It is now turn based field combat where y…
