- The Day Before - 30 April 2026
Show Before ReleaseTomorrow marks the official launch of CardBoard and with it the playable class Wildebear! It's been a rough year to get to this point, rewrites and bugs galore. But here we are, release day less than 24 hours away and changes are still being made and cards being added. I feel I should tease one of the changes you'll experience when diving into CardBoard tomorrow by showing you an image of the reroll fountain. Only one of these exist per game and they allow you to reroll any item you have once per visit. Pretty cool.If you experience any bugs or have any suggestions, please let me know through the discussions or forums.

- Demo Rework With Multiplayer Co-Op! - 10 April 2026
Changes:Reworked the entire game loop, this is really just too much to write here. TLDR of it is multiplayer works now.Fixed some spelling and grammar issues.Fixed Treevor not dying.Fixed Shops. There was a ton of bugs I created with the redesign and some of the bugs were already existing. If you find one I didn't catch, please let me know.Changed scaling of stats for the enemies depending on the number of people in the lobby.Fixed Wizgob double triggering the hit animation.Added death sounds for the Spider.Fixed end of match results.Dev Talk:There is still a ton of work that needs to be done in the next 3~4 weeks until release. But the list of things I want to try and get done are Wildebear, more items, more enemies, more cards and one more board. :) I know it's a lot but getting the game working has been the biggest challenge by far, I've made some scripts and tables that help with al…
- Report: 5 weeks remain! - 31 March 2026
Redesign of Multiplayer?!To try and keep this as short as possible, when I went into designing CardBoard's multiplayer the first time around, I worked off a template of multiplayer not suited to this type of game. Only through extensive testing, redesigns, and bugs did I learn I messed up. I could give up and throw away the towel. But if I'm going to fail, I want to fail for other reasons than a fundamental part of my game just didn't allows friends to complete a full run together. Good news, I'm up to the point where players teleport into fights. So that's the lobby, the players rolling their dice and moving around the board and teleporting into the fights all redesigned and working. 5 weeks remaining and I've been redesigning for only the past 3 days, I'll surely finish right? ːwinter2019coolyulː wishlist to find out
- Patch 3-28-26 #2 Soft Lock Fix - 28 March 2026
Bug FixFixed Soft Lock on Opening Esc Menu - Pressing Esc key called old code on a player controller that was changing input modes which was fine but closing the esc menu wasn't setting it back. This never broke the game in editor and only happened in the packaged game. lol sorry for all the headaches I might've caused. ːsteamfacepalmː
- Patch 3-28-26 #1 - 28 March 2026
Bug FixesNow in combat when the turn timer runs out, targets for cards will be chosen for you until card queue is empty.Added small change to help between double clicks and single clicks. Shot in the dark for this one lol
- Demo Launch! - 27 March 2026
A Different DeckbuilderI wanted to create something that was much easier to get into but as complex as the player wanted it to get. There is no mana, no lands, no special energy but your life points and the cards you have. Cards can be upgraded and at the moment there is over 200 possible card outcomes. This is still early days but I hope everyone has fun with this demo and next update aside from bug fixes should address any remaining hiccups with multiplayer. This means 4-player co-op is the next thing to become available in the demo. Wishlist to follow along and keep informed with the progress until we launch into early access later this year.
