  Here i'd like to take the time to explain what our plan is for Curse of the Dragonbeast. If there is something you would like to see put into the game you can comment here to let us know! Art and GraphicsWe are still going to do a ton of improvements to the visuals of the game. We recently improved the style of the maps and visual clarity on the game field but there is much more to do. UI will be updated. Much of the UI is unfinished and it will be updated to a much nicer, modern feel soon.Character models will have some changes to make sure they look more like the character artMost of the character art is placeholder images done with AI and touched up by the developer. • CotDB Demo Update Version 0.6 - 26 May 2026

  Update 0.6 marks the release of public multiplayer, available in the demo version. You can now select Custom Match from the main menu to play Co-Op and PvP by hosting your own match or joining another player's lobby. Multiplayer is completely playable but lacks some features like client side prediction and server rollback so there will be minor bugs related to multiplayer. At first it may be hard to find players so post in the Discord channel if you are looking for people to play a match with.   Update 0.5 is live and includes mostly aesthetic improvements but also more quality of life and balance changes. MapsWe designed 3 new types of biomes giving some much need variety to the maps beyond just grass/forest and water. We’ve added a snowy mountain biome, a fiery volcano biome and a foggy swamp biome with new models and textures.Theres 1-2 maps of each biome for now, but this will allow us to make much more interesting maps going forward.Game Board and Cinematic IntroTo create a bit more context around the setting, we’ve placed the maps on top of a game board and table which will fade away as the match starts. Matches now start with a cinematic camera fly-in as the game board comes to life.   We heard from players after our reveal last month. A lot of people are enjoying the demo and some had great feedback. Thanks to them we have tons of quality of life changes in tonight's update.A hint system has been implemented to explain the core mechanics. We decided to explain more and not leave core mechanics up to experimentation and discovery.To improve readability in combat we have implemented team-colored outlines for all units that can also be seen through walls.The AI will now use a better algorithm with more effective tactics when selecting where to move to. Ranged characters now kite and try to keep you at range and healers keep at the correct distance for supporting.
