  • Patch v1.1.1 - 6 July 2026

Patch Notes - Fixed an issue where the admin key would not be added to the inventory since v1.1.0 - Added a cheat code panel to the pause menu. no hints for what they are (except that one...) but there are a couple codes. That's all for now and thank you. rednalhgihteid

  • Demo Update - 10 April 2026

Nothing too crazy but it showcases some of the new v1.1 features, plus demo options and progress is now saved. This should hopefully be the last time I will need to touch the demo build.

  • Surprise Monday Night Update v1.1.0 - 17 March 2026

New "Features" and Stuff3 new characters to choose from with minor gameplay changes for each of em. For an example, Dougan, his hud, and his weapon sprites were originally "scrapped".Implemented support for XBone controllers.Replaced intro and outro cut scenes with playable scenes. The intro is just more of a tutorial if anything. I never liked pulling you out of gameplay unless it's needed.Updated the main menu. There is now different random backgrounds and some new buttons. I also needed get rid of my custom buttons for future-proof editable ones, New "Extras Hub" for future maps and content. These maps are intended to be played when you get better equipment because they will be hard and enemy locations will be cheap, evil and cramped.Added slight smoothing to camera movement when using keys. Fixed missing collisions/textures.Fixed crouching bugging out on scene changes.Adjusted/chang…

  • Sunday Night Update 1.0.14 - 15 December 2025

I wanted to get this one out before midnight, I don't like being sidetracked for too long but things are a bit chaotic this month. I don't know how I feel about the new options but they're now there. What's NewV-sync option added, requires restart. Framerate cap added, it's a slider that ranges from 15-120 and unlimited.Pain "Flash" now has more frames and the screen turns more red upon taking damage.Added / edited a bunch of sfx, an example being when the player receives damage.*New options file to prevent possible crashing with newly added settings.Current PlansSupport for Controllers and rebinding mouse buttons. I'm thinking I have to redo the whole rebind system.Hopeful Later PlansEditing the main menu for future stuff

  • Update 1.0.13 Better Weapon Scrolling - 12 December 2025

Man, sometimes you think you've finally fixed something and then something else breaks in the process. Either way I thought I'd get this out there for now. What's new?The game now checks to see if the current weapon is available and if not it will either fallback or skip depending on the last scroll direction (except with designated hotkeys).Due to the new scrolling system, the machine gun now has to have it's own designated hotkey or else it gets very angry.Changed the remapping menu to get ready for rebinding different devices. I'm still working on it.Silent update 1.0.12 fixed blood persisting due to a very early attempt at adding blood like a year ago. Also non-fleshy objects no longer bleed. Might aswell say this here.

  • Update 1.0.11 Blood and Corpses - 9 December 2025

Tried to get this one out as fast as I can. Hopefully this settles my long dispute with the window centering incorrectly.StuffInitial startup and setting to windowed should now center the window correctly.Added more checks to make sure fullscreen does not get affected by windowed options somehow.Blood sprites and an option to toggle them on and off are now in visual settingscorpses now have an option to toggle them on and off are also now in visual settings.Adjusted / replaced some Machine Gunner locations. They were annoying.Coastal Catastrophe has been fixed, no idea how I missed that...Increased the speed on most of the moving platforms. I can see how they were annoying.Moved a door switch location in Horizon Complex that made more sense.Added checkpoints to various levels that I considered alright to add them to. Not on levels that have shortcuts that can be enabled.Made some artwor…

  • Update 1.0.10 Aiming With The AK Is Now In - 6 December 2025

Wasn't going to do this, I thought about it months ago but it was requested by someone...Sprites, code (copied from pistol), adjustments were made in a couple of hours. I thought it makes sense since it's kinda outclassed by the pistol. In the end I want every weapon viable in their own way, this works. Also renamed the 556 ammo at the vending machine to AK556 mags to fix some confusion. Why a 5.56 AK? Because I think they're neat.Lastly I adjusted the sensitivity down for everything. Before it was perhaps too crazy.BTW I do have things planned but I don't like making promises. For now I really shouldn't be up this late right now, packed weekend. Goodnight.

  • WRITHING Has Released - 5 December 2025

When I first started this project in August of 2023, I didn't know where to start or how to do anything game development related (I still don't). The direction I was going changed pretty early on, I was wanting to make something along the lines of an immersive sim but didn't know enough at the time. I'm only one guy with a computer. So I aimed for something much more manageable, a good ole mostly non-linear FPS game with a good game-play foundation (at least to me) and a good couple of hours worth of content to explore. I made myself a standard of at least releasing something relatively well made (not crashing immediately) with the art style I've developed over the years. I feel as though I did that but I might be a bit biased.Funnest part of the Project? Making the enemies, there's a lot of them and they do silly things.Hardest part of the Project? Would have said music but 3D modeling…
