  • Devlog September - 8 September 2026

September has been heavily focused on balancing, performance, animations and general polishing across Veyora.Combat & Balancing One of the biggest focuses this month was balancing. Armor values, weapons, damage, enemy strength, NPCs, XP rewards and many other values have been adjusted.I tested these changes both solo and in co-op to make progression and combat feel more balanced and consistent regardless of how you play.Combat Animation Improvements Several animations have also been updated and improved, especially around sword combat and general character movement.New and adjusted combat animations help make attacks, transitions and movement feel smoother and more responsive. This is something I will continue improving over time, especially as more weapons and combat styles are added.Audio System Rework Another major improvement was the audio system.Previously, dying could cause the pl…

  • Devlog August - 4 August 2026

August is an especially important month for the development of Veyora. Following the Closed Beta playtest of version 0.4.0, I was able to collect a lot of valuable feedback, fix several issues, and continue expanding some of the game’s most important systems. The main focus has been the quest system, dialogue implementation, combat improvements, and making the world of Veyora feel more alive and rewarding to explore. The Quest SystemOne of the biggest development steps during the past few weeks has been the expansion of the quest system.Quests are no longer simply started and completed. They can now be tracked through the quest journal and displayed directly in the HUD. New notifications also inform players whenever a quest has been started, updated, or completed. The quest journal provides an overview of active quests, their current objectives, and the individual steps required to complet…

  • Devlog July - 2 July 2026

Hello everyone,Welcome to the July devlog for Veyora. This month has been a very important step for the project. While the next Closed Beta update will take a little longer than usual, the reason is simple: instead of releasing only a small patch, I am currently working on many larger improvements at the same time. The goal is to create a stronger foundation for Veyora and prepare the game for the first public demo, which is planned for the Steam Next Fest on October 19.Veyora is still a solo developer project from a small Swiss studio, so some things naturally take more time. But this also means that every system, every village, every hidden chest, every quest and every detail is built with a very clear vision in mind.A better world to exploreOne of the biggest topics this month has been the world itself.Veyora is not meant to be a game where you simply steal or collect everything every…

  • Devlog May 2026 - 6 May 2026

Hello everyone,it honestly still feels surreal writing this.A few months ago, Veyora was just an idea: sketches, systems, experiments and countless late nights in Unreal Engine. Now the first players are already exploring the world during our early closed beta sessions, and seeing people walk through places that only existed in my imagination for so long is something difficult to describe. As many of you know, Veyora is mainly being developed by one person with some support from outside, which means development takes time, but it also means every system, village, dialogue and detail is built with a very personal vision behind it. A huge amount of work during the past weeks went into optimization, stability and improving the overall gameplay experience before showing more of the game publicly. The current version of the game is already a stable experience that can be played together with f…

  • Devlog February 2026 - 24 February 2026

We’re currently focusing heavily on performance optimization to ensure a smooth and immersive gameplay experience. Creating a fluid world – especially with the scale Veyora offers – remains one of our top priorities.Multiplayer is already working very well. We’re currently fixing a few remaining bugs and continuing to refine synchronization and stability to make the experience as seamless as possible. We’ve also started reworking the locomotion system for more natural and dynamic character movement. Alongside this, we’re implementing horseback riding – a key feature for us, especially given the size and depth of Veyora’s world. In addition, many early-game starter quests have been created to provide a structured and engaging introduction to the world and its mechanics.More updates coming soon. PS: There is a new Game UI we're working on! Stay tuned!

  • Veyora Development Update – Our World Comes to Life - 19 November 2025

Hello Adventurers! It’s time for another look behind the scenes of Veyora. Our starting region is now almost fully built and what we’re doing right now is bringing it to life. Towns are coming to life with unique characters, while enemies now roam the forests, dungeons, and open fields. At the same time, we’re developing a dynamic sound system that adds atmosphere and depth to every part of the world. With the evolving day–night rhythm and shifting weather, Veyora is starting to feel truly alive.A huge part of the current work happens under the hood: we are creating every single item, every crafting recipe and merchant inventory by hand. These systems form the core of the gameplay - so we’re putting a lot of love into them. What’s next? Once this foundation is locked in, we begin building quests and stories, turning Veyora into a place full of purpose and adventure. Our current roadmap • Q…
