  I replaced the save folder for the Steam version to avoid any confusion and inconvenience with other versions and the future full release of the game. If you've already played the demo and have saves you don't want to lose, simply copy them from this folder:%USERPROFILE%\\AppData\\Roaming\\RenPy\\How_To_Fix_The_Future-1611739901to this new folder:%USERPROFILE%\\AppData\\Roaming\\RenPy\\How_To_Fix_The_Future_STEAMThat way your progress will carry over to the full Steam version and there won't be any issues if you decide to play non-steam version of the game.Sorry for the inconvenience, it's a one-time thing. After moving the saves, everything should work normally. Let me know if you run into any issues!mr.moonmi

• How to Fix the Future on Steam Next Fest! - 23 February 2026

  Hello everyone!I'm really happy to announce that How to Fix the Future is participating in the Steam Next Fest! A reworked demo version is now live on Steam and will be available for one month - until March 23.Changelog for 0.2.8 (Steam Demo Version):- Reworked all animations in the Intro and some from Chapter 1.- Completely rewritten all dialogues from the Intro through Chapter 3. Some were rewritten from scratch, others were rephrased or had typos/grammar fixed.So even if you've already played the game, you can still replay it - the demo has been significantly improved. Except maybe the renders, but I didn't want to commit too much time to this to rework every render. This result is a compromise, considering the time I had and my circumstances.
