Fox Pines is a short first-person horror experience of tension, exploration, and survival inspired by the classics and made by a solo developer. Guided only by a flashlight and the pages he left behind, you must push deeper into the ruins of the park and uncover what really happened here. But you’re not alone—something in the forest stalks you, driven by hunger and hate, and your survival depends entirely on evasion and sound management: - You have no weapons and no means of combat. Your only option when confronted is to run and evade the persistent, unseen predator that stalks you. - Navigate via in-world map boards. Collect your brother’s journal pages to navigate the park and uncover what happened here. - Use ambient and directional sound cues to monitor the creature’s location, and carefully manage your own volume (walking vs. sprinting) to avoid detection. -Piece together the disturbing history of the park, its mining past, and the subsequent disappearances by finding tape recorders left behind. Once a booming mining site, Fox Pines was quietly shut down after a tragic collapse sealed dozens of workers inside the mountain. Years later, a corporation bought the land and turned it into a peaceful wilderness retreat for hikers, campers, and nature lovers. But people started disappearing—and the park was shut down again.
