  Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a lovely week. We have some fun little updates for Gemmy Gems that we wanna share today 💖First, we updated our tool assets. And by assets, I mostly mean the little tool icons! They look so much cuter now and really fit the cozy feeling of the shop way better than the old ones. We also updated the main menu! It looks and feels so much better now, and it really sets the right cozy mood before you even jump into the game. But our absolute favorite part is the new stamping mechanic! When you finish getting a gem ready, you dont just click a boring "done" button anymore. You actually get to press a physical stamp onto the gems certificate. We made sure the visual feedback feels super satisfying. Its just a small detail, but officially stamping that paper feels great. Lastly, we are expanding the world! We have some exciting progress from the workshop to share with you this month.New Character Sprites We are currently working on brand new reaction sprites for our magical customers. Each character, from the demanding Witch to the shiny obsessed Goblin, will have unique expressions that reflect their personality. This will make your shop interactions feel much more alive and expressive when customers visit The Quest System We are also excited to introduce a brand new quest system.   Hello again ✨Welcome to part two of our devlog catch-up! In our last post, we talked about the core loop and gem processing. Today, we want to show you what we have been doing to bring the world itself to life.🛠️ New NPCs for Tools You need good equipment to mine the best stones. Instead of buying upgrades from a standard menu, we added new NPCs to the town who specifically sell tools. It makes getting new gear feel like an actual interaction.🗣️ New Characters and Dialogues We added some new faces to the neighborhood. Along with the new characters, we wrote and implemented a lot of fresh dialogue.   Hello again ✨It’s been a while. We haven't posted a devlog in a few months because we put our heads down and focused on building. A lot has changed, and Gemmy Gems is starting to play like the cozy gem shop management game we envisioned. Since we have so much to share, we are splitting this update into two parts!Here is the first look at what we’ve been up to:🔄 Connecting the Gameloop The core flow is now fully playable. You can dig up raw stones, process them, manage your inventory, and deal with customers.   Hello Again ✨ December was one of those months where nothing looks revolutionary at first glance, but everything suddenly starts to feel like a real game. Less dreaming, more finishing. Less “what if,” more “this actually works.”Our main goal this month was simple and slightly terrifying: Make Gemmy Gems playable for other people.🛠️ From 2D Concepts to Polished 3D ScenesSome of our 2D concept scenes didn’t translate well into Unity. We had already converted a few of them into 3D earlier, but this month we focused on polishing those scenes properly.   Greetings I hope you had a great, cozy month. For us, it was a challenging but wholesome stretch full of satisfying work. All of our team members are focused on making the game playable, having fun while building it, and giving it as much soul and love as possible. We’re incredibly grateful that people already like it and are wishlisting it. It feels like a blessing. Your kind comments and feedback genuinely fuel us. So as I was saying, it’s been challenging. We prototyped lots of scenes, trying out as many possibilities as we could and experimenting with new ideas. And of course, we ran into technical issues along the way.
