  A new demo of Alonitaire is now available. Same game, same deck, same Joker. What's gone is the friction. During Next Fest I watched people lose to the interface instead of losing to him. So this update is about the things that were getting in the way. He insisted on having his say about each one. 1. Sigils are activated by holding them down. The OK and Cancel buttons are gone. Press a Sigil and hold: a ring fills around the icon, the ticking speeds up, and it fires. Let go early and nothing happens. "It was far better before.   Hello everyone! Tomorrow is the big day: Steam Next Fest begins. Over the past couple of weeks, a few brave content creators have been testing an early version of the demo, and their feedback has been invaluable in polishing the experience. I want to give a special shoutout to ExplodinBeef. During his run, a card mysteriously vanished from the table, preventing him from finishing the game. At first, I honestly thought it was the Joker bending the rules to force a surrender... but it turned out to be a real bug involving the undo button and the stock-to-deck pass!   Hey everyone! 👋We are still working hard preparing the demo for the Steam Next Fest. This week I’ve focused on "cleaning house": I want the experience to be smooth and stumble-free when you play it in February.Here are the most important fixes (thanks to the tester feedback):Don't go broke: Now the game clearly warns you about how much each action costs. Before, you could spend coins without noticing and then... well, the Joker doesn't forgive debts. Now everything is transparent.Am I winning or losing?: I’ve redesigned the progress bar. Sometimes it wasn't clear who had the upper hand, and I want you to know at all times if you have the Joker on the ropes.Seamless Music: There was a small issue with the flamenco theme overlapping when changing phases.
