We want to be fully transparent with you.Unfortunately, we have to delay the release of Call of the Lake. During the final checks, we encountered a critical issue with the build that prevents the game from launching correctly. We have already made important changes, including updating the engine and rebuilding the project, and we are continuing to refine and test the game to ensure everything works as intended. The latest build has been submitted for review, and we are currently waiting for the process to be completed. We expect this to take around 1–2 weeks, depending on the review time and any additional adjustments that may be required. We truly believed we would be able to release on time, which is why this announcement comes later than it should have. For that, we are especially sorry. Our goal is simple: to make sure you can play the game comfortably, without technical issues.Thank you…

- Development Update - Atmosphere, Sound & Pacing - 16 December 2025
Hello everyone,December has been a difficult and very busy month for me, so I haven’t shared updates as often as I wanted.Still, development on Call of the Lake hasn’t stopped - quite the opposite.Over the past weeks, I focused heavily on atmosphere, sound design, and pacing. Many scenes were reworked from the ground up:• forest sequences now feel more intense and disorienting • sound plays a much bigger role - whispers, silence, sudden transitions • chase scenes were rebuilt to feel faster and more physical • some visuals were simplified to strengthen rhythm and tension The game is slowly becoming closer to my original vision - quieter in some moments, harsher in others, and more unsettling overall.Thank you for your patience and support.A proper gameplay update is coming soon.- StarryFrame Games
- Working on the Game’s Soundtrack - 4 December 2025
Today I spent my time working on the game’s soundtrack. The music is still in development, so I’m not sharing the tracks yet — but I can say that the tone is finally taking shape.I’m composing several themes for the forest escape sequence: ✔ cold ambient layers ✔ subtle tension buildup ✔ deep, uneasy bass ✔ quiet moments that feel “alive”The goal is to make the soundscape match the horror atmosphere — where the forest itself feels like it’s watching.Below is a frame from the current build — just a small glimpse of today’s progress:(insert any of твоих лесных фонов или CG — идеально подойдёт bg_forest_deep_dark)December will be a busy month for me, but I’ll keep sharing updates whenever I can. Thank you for supporting and wishlisting — it really helps 💙
