- Demo Story Almost Complete! - 28 March 2026
The DemoWe still have no planned release date, but we are so close to being done with the Demo's storyline, we can taste it, and it. is. JUICY. and TRAGIC. And beautiful. and MWAH!Colby is working tirelessly on tilesets and art for the in-game cutscenesLiah and Vyx are solidifying story points and timelines while Colby is actively working on their art and giving their input as wellProgramming and Coding is projected to start when Tilesets are mostly done (a few months) which is perfect time for Liah and Vyx to complete the story. The Fade is SO very underway and we are so excited to have gotten this far. While we know it's taking a very long time, it very may well take years for us to finish the full game, but for now we're on the perfectly right track, and a demo should be out at some point within the next year. We're working every day to make sure we get this game to be the best it can…
- Updates week of: March 3, 2026 - 7 March 2026
Hello! We have all collectively gotten together and have been talking about The Fade more actively. Here's what's HappeningMusic-Liah is currently working on more music for after demo scenes, and fixing the music that was messed up in the game file moving process.Art-Colby is presently reworking all tilesets still, this is a lengthy process and may take weeks. Colby's hands are getting sore from the process. Please do not hate us xDProgramming-Vyxie has added all doors entrances and exits, but cannot code things like cutscenes, puzzles, and storylines until Colby finishes the tilesets, so at the moment while Colby works on their art, programming is at a standstill, and we're been working on keeping our Podcast's Twitch active. We plan to stream every Saturday at 10PM ET, hopefully moving from once a week to twice a week soon. However, no guarantees. We PLAN to stream the game-making pro…
- Emergency upon Emergency - 1 March 2026
Hello allUnfortunately these last 3 weeks have been hell for us. 3 weeks ago there was no announcement because it was our final day for our collective classes, and we all had final projects due that were worth over 30% of our grades and we needed to focus. Directly after that Saturday, We had all contracted COVID-19. Liah's boyfriend had it the worst of all of us. One week into contracting COVID, he had to be taken to the ER, and was admitted for nearly a week. All three of us were lacking sleep, and unable to focus on anything other than our daily lives, and constantly checking in with Liah and her Boyfriend. He is now finally home, and doing well, but it was a scary week for all of us, and we could not handle making an announcement, nor did we have time to talk about the updates of The Fade. We plan to come back to figuring shit out as soon as we are not all stressed. Give us like a w…

- We're Back!~ - 25 January 2026
What happened? What happened is simple. We'd been working on the game non-stop for two months straight, we got burnt out beyond belief, and we all had to take a break from The Fade to get our sh*t together. However, Our sh*t has been gathered, and we are now resuming production. Thank. God. What went wrong? We realized the art was generic, and boring, because we were just defaulting to the software's tiles and decorations. We want this game to be as aesthetically beautiful as we know The Fade's story can be. We're using RPGMaker MV, which, yes, comes with its own tiles and furniture and cutesie or scary things that we can throw in the game, but we're learning how to make our own so the game can really be ours. Because of this, we literally had to throw the whole thing out, and start all over again. Which, is really disappointing considering we basically had almost the whole demo done. But…
