It's already been 10 years since Tinimations' debut title "Klang" launched, a humble reminder on the passage of time. Looking back at the end result I'm left with gratitude, both towards my composer partner bLiNd who made a timeless soundtrack, and my younger self for having the guts to make such an uncompromising game. There's a rawness to this project that I hope to capture again in future works, and I do occasionally wonder how a decade of experience could shape a second attempt on the same concept. Video Transcript: I'm Tom-Ivar, a game designer who once envisioned a world of rhythm action where keeping the cadence of combat is the only means of survival. Over the course of 7 years, I designed two experimental rhythm-action games in this universe, both featuring pulse-pounding action, f*ck-off-skeletons, and fancy boss fights, all inspired by bLiNd’s near transcendent original soundtrack. The original Klang launched in 2016 as Tinimation’s debut title, merging platforming and rhythm action into an adrenaline rush sure to challenge even the most skilled of multitaskers. Today marks the 3rd anniversary for Klang, my first proper game. I'm taking the opportunity to thank you all who played it, and appreciated all the hard work that went into it. Both me and bLiNd are still proud over what we accomplished with that game. To mark the occasion, Klang will go on sale tomorrow! I have another announcement to make. Some may know I began work on a followup to Klang in mid 2017. I aimed to have Klang 2 released before the 3 year anniversary. While I couldn't make my goal, I can confirm I recently finalized the gameplay. This is a major milestone worth celebrating! I may have been silent, but I assure you I've worked tirelessly on more Klang content ever since the original launched. September 22nd marks the 1 year anniversary of my first game, Klang. It took me close to 3 years of hard work to finish, and I hope it made an impression on all of you. It was such an uphill battle all the way, especially considering this was my first real attempt at making a game. I've learned so much, met so many good people, and travelled across the globe to share Klang with you all. Both me and bLiNd are super proud of what we accomplished with it, blending rhythm games and action-platformers into something never seen before.
