Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 got a look in at the Xbox Developer Direct last week, and if that's got you interested, you might want to pick up the first game soon. At the time of writing, lasting up until January 25, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has a very big discount of 90% off on Steam . Typically the game sells at £25, but with that discount you can grab it for as little as £2.50, which is obviously quite the bargain, and cheaper than a Tesco meal deal these days - the deal even includes the VR edition of the game, a little bonus for those of you that have headsets laying around somewhere. - Hellblade developer Ninja Theory isn't using AI to replace voice actors - 25 September 2022
Following a recent report that discussed AI led voice acting, Hellblade developer Ninja Theory has clarified that it has no intentions to stop using real voice actors. GLHF recently ran a report on AI voice acting, and how voice actors are concerned about losing their jobs to the technology. The piece in part focused on one such company working on this tech called Altered AI, and noted how Ninja Theory, currently working on Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga , is working with Altered AI, leading some to be concerned that the studio is replacing actual actors with AI. But Ninja Theory has put any of these concerns to bed with a recent tweet. "No. For clarity, we use this AI tech for placeholder content only to help us understand things like timing and placement in early phases of development," wrote Ninja Theory in response to a Twitter user asking if the studio was in fact replacing real voice a…

It's been two years since we first saw Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 revealed on-stage at The Game Awards , and now – to mark the anniversary of the occaision – we've got a brand new gameplay trailer for the game to enjoy. The most striking thing about the trailer? It looks ridiculous; you wouldn't believe it was captured in-engine if the developer Ninja Theory hadn't assured you it was. In keeping with the previous game, we see an ancient world inhabited by what could be mythical creatures or figments of poor Senua's imgaination as she roams the wilds with her kinsmen. Following our recent update bringing visual enhancements and accessibility improvements to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, we have released a patch addressing some of the minor issues some users were encountering. These include: • Fix for ultra-wide screen support • Fix for audio levels not being applied properly after the update in certain cases • Fix for sliders not working when dragged along • Fix for RT shadows switching when looking through a portal on Valravn's map • Fix for stuttering some people experience with DX12, done by pregenerating a package of shaders for both RT On and Off presets. Ninja Theory's acclaimed 2017 action-adventure, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, has just received a new update, bringing August's Xbox Series X enhancements over to PC. Additionally, a range of new accessibility features have been introduced to both versions. The official description for Hellblade's PC enhancements is a little vague, with Ninja Theory only promising "enriched visuals", alongside DirectX Raytracing, NVIDIA DLSS, and AMD FSR support. However, the new PC release will almost certainly reflect the Xbox Series X version, which introduced the likes of upgraded materials, particles, and draw distances. After releasing an Optimised for Series X|S patch for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice earlier this year, developer Ninja Theory has finally released a patch for the PC version that brings substantial accessibility and graphical enhancements to the game. The patch is live right now and comes at no extra cost to current or future players. The most transformative change to the game's visuals comes in the form of ray tracing , which is used to render more accurate reflections and shadows. Ninja Theory has also taken the opportunity to update the game's materials, particles, and LOD (level of detail) so there's plenty for everyone regardless of their GPU's ray tracing capabilities. To help boost fps , the game now supports both Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR upscaling techniques.
