- Player-Hosted Servers Are Back Online! - 29 June 2024
Our last update shared the unfortunate news that our backend provider was shutting down and therefore our dedicated servers, matchmaking, stats/leaderboards, and progression unlocks would no longer function. We have since decided to take a crack re-enabling the player hosted listen servers that originally powered Disc Jam's multiplayer during development. We are happy to announce that with this latest build, player hosted servers have been reenabled! This means that players can jump back in the queue and join matches hosted on individuals' machines. Unfortunately, a number of features will still be missing such as online stats/leaderboards, the prize machine, and seasons. These features relied on backend services which no longer exist, but at the very least the game is playable online once again. Time to get back out there and jam!

Somewhere between hockey and tennis is Disc Jam, a clever little action plus sports title that came out last year, and which is currently having a free weekend on Steam . It’s a strategic game about lining up your shots and throws to outfox opponents, leaving them surprised, reeling, and unable to react. This is a great chance for fans of games like Rocket League to try out another in a similar genre. You can also play as that absolute unit on the right:  Just look at the size of that lad. Though it takes the particularly non-PC tack of recommending a controller, Disc Jam is still a few hours of fun, and fie upon that. It plays just fine without.  Go see Disc Jam on Steam.

FIXED: Servers no longer crash when a player quits during an instant replay. This resolves issues that could cause players to receive a loss after a match ends even if they just won. FIXED: Points on the scoreboard once again display correctly but are capped at 200. This cap will be raised in a future patch.
