  • DLC and Delays - 6 September 2026

I had a bug in the way the localisation was built into the executable. This meant that the release build took me two hours. Now it takes 13 minutes or less. The good news is that it's finally fixed, and I've added different modes for playing the game at the start. You can now choose between hover, click, hold click or off. After the release, a lot of players complained that there was too much clicking and that their expectations were different. I wanted to address this.

  • Terminal Colony: Deep Core v1.4 Update - 5 March 2026

v1.4 is a major update that improves both the game and the codebase. The biggest change is a full upgrade to Bevy 0.18. On the gameplay side, the new Prestige Shop adds permanent Quantum Point upgrades that carry across resets, including progression boosts and starter resource upgrades. This version also adds resource fly-to-UI animations, making mining feel more responsive and satisfying, and fixes several important prestige/reset bugs (including resource carryover, achievement re-unlocks, and requirement calculation issues).Under the hood, there are also code quality improvements, stronger persistence testing, and full localization support across 19 languages.Overall: v1.4 is a polished, stable milestone release with better progression, better feedback, and a modernized engine foundation. Thank you for the support and playing.

  • Migrate to bevy 0.18 and implement the Prestige Shop & UI animation - 19 February 2026

After a few attempts, I finally got the game migrated to Bevy 0.18. Some colors and a few Egui elements were off after the update, so it took me a while to track everything down and fix it.I also added a Prestige Shop this was a player request, and I liked the idea, so I built it directly into the prestige Egui. Thanks for the support, and thanks for playing! New FeaturesResource fly to UI animation Mining now has clear visual feedback. When you collect resources, small icon tokens appear where the action happens and smoothly fly toward the correct resource counter in the top panel. What it doesTokens travel along a smooth arc with an ease-in-out-cubic feel, plus a subtle parabolic lift (sin-based vertical offset) so the motion looks natural. The destination updates every frame, so tokens keep tracking the right resource label even if the UI shifts or the layout changes.Built to stay light…

  • Terminal Colony: Deep Core v1.3.6 Update - 8 February 2026

SummaryTerminal Colony: Deep Core v1.3.6 is a hotfix and balance update focused on consistency and persistence. It resolves a long-standing issue where click power could differ depending on whether it was rebuilt after a prestige reset or after loading a save, sometimes resulting in large and unexpected changes. The update also tightens prestige rules by scoping achievement bonuses to the current prestige run, preventing bonuses from stacking across multiple runs. This release improves reliability of language and display settings by ensuring they always persist to the preferences file and are no longer overwritten by older save data. Several UI and display issues were corrected, and late-game economy pacing was adjusted through targeted cost increases. All saves from v1.1.6 and later remain fully compatible with no migration required.Release Notes v1.3.6 (2026-02-08)HighlightsFixed click…

  • Terminal Colony: Deep Core Update v1.3 is live - 5 February 2026

After a ton of feedback and reviews, I decided to ship a major update that reworks the game overall. The mid and endgame pacing felt off, so I adjusted progression and balance. The early game is now a bit slower, but the overall experience is smoother and the reported issues have been fixed or rebalanced. The UI has been cleaned up, and I’ll be adding a “How to Play” video soon to help new players get started.I also fixed several localization bugs (missing keys and incorrect strings) and expanded localization to 17 languages. Finally, I added two new events that make Plasma more useful and open up some nice synergy builds. The Engineer Worker has also been adjusted: it’s weaker early on, but scales much better as the game progresses.Thank you for all the feedback and the support! What’s new / biggest changes in v1.3In-game WIKI documentation (press W) with sections for Technologies, Workers…

  • Terminal Colony: Deep Core Update 1.1.6 is live - 24 January 2026

Hey miners, this update is all about stability and worker sanity. I tightened up worker assignment so presets stop pulling in locked roles, added stronger recovery so workers don’t get stuck doing the classic “stare at a wall forever” routine, and improved idle/wander behavior so they keep moving even when the mine runs dry. Late game balance also got a major tune up at level 17+: uranium drain spirals are now much harder to trigger thanks to reserve protection, passive uranium fallback, and a new reactor efficiency upgrade. Balance (Level 17+ Endgame Stability)ChangedQuantum Analyst uranium consumption reduced: 0.15 → 0.05 uranium/sec per worker (-66%)Quantum Analyst Qbit generation increased: 0.02 → 0.025/secEngineer energy consumption hysteresis: requires a 20% energy buffer before consuming to reduce active/idle oscillationAddedUranium reserve protection for Quantum Analysts: mainta…

  • Terminal Colony: Deep Core Major Update 1.1 is live - 22 January 2026

Hey miners, patch 1.1 is the big worker update. I rebuilt how workers behave, how they animate, and how they recover when they get stuck doing the classic “stare at a wall forever” move. I also did a bunch of work on energy and prestige so the numbers on screen match what the game is actually doing.Quick highlights • Workers now spawn with personalities, so they stop feeling like clones • Way more idle and reaction animations, plus mining looks different on hard blocks • New nearby worker bonus to reward clustering • Stuck detection and recovery so workers do not freeze permanently • Energy and prestige fixes, including clearer regen info and fewer trap situationsWorker personalities Every new hire now rolls one personality and keeps it forever. This changes how they move, idle, and perform.Personalities in the pool • Diligent: stays focused, idles less, more consistent mining output •…

  • Announcing my new game ‘Terminal Colony: Deep Core’! - 29 December 2025

Hey everyone,Martin here 👋 Welcome to Terminal Colony: Deep Core!Mark your calendars: the full launch is January 20.After my previous projects, I wanted to build something radically different. Something darker and deeper, full of industrial machines, rising pressure, and whatever is waiting down there in the rock. The result is a strange little blend of survival management and incremental strategy.I poured a lot of what I love into it: atmospheric science fiction, messy resource webs, the satisfying hum of old terminals, and those addictive mechanics that go “CLICK CLICK CLICK” as the numbers spiral out of control. This time, it is all tied to real survival tension. What to look forward to:Deep industrial managementCold, atmospheric underground worldMinimalist terminal visualsComplex automation and Quantum upgradesSatisfying keyboard shortcutsRising pressure and failing systemsThings wak…
