After civilization collapsed, the railways became the last lifeline across the wasteland. In The Era of Great Trains , you will drive and manage a steam train, traveling between settlements, towns, and great cities. Load cargo, plan routes, stock up on supplies, recruit crew members, upgrade your train, and deliver goods safely to the next station through zombie hordes, disasters, and blockades. What you face is not just combat, but business. Where food is scarce, where fuel is needed, which route is safer, which faction offers better terms at a lower cost — only those who understand the situation can survive in the wasteland and turn a profit. Before every departure, you must decide how to run the journey: what cargo to load, how many supplies to bring, which route to take, and which city to head for. After arriving at a station, you can trade goods, restock food and clean water, repair your train, take on commissions, and prepare for the next trip. You have to survive the journey before you can talk about profit. This is not a rigid buy-low-sell-high system with fixed prices. Prices and scarcity change dynamically from city to city based on supply and demand, transport disruptions, disasters, and shifting regional conditions. One place may be short on food, another on fuel, while somewhere else urgently needs critical supplies — information is profit. By reading the situation, betting on high-risk routes, and planning your transport network carefully, you can gradually build your own railway trading empire. Your steam train is both a caravan and a mobile base of survival. You can upgrade the locomotive and adjust the train composition, balancing cargo capacity, speed, defense, firepower, and maintenance costs. Larger cargo holds can bring greater profits, heavier armor improves your chances of survival, and stronger engines allow you to take on longer and more dangerous transport missions. Different upgrade paths will directly shape your style of management.
