• Critical fix to Aphid Officer Code of Conduct (and other issues) - 30 June 2026

  Greetings, intrepid commanders! When High Command approved the issue of binoculars to all field commanders in the turtle corps, an administrative error resulted in the Turtle Corps Academy training session on the salute being replaced by training on binoculars. Last week's update corrected the oversight - you can now salute and use binoculars (but not at the same time, since that would violate the officer's code of conduct). High Command apologizes for this grave error. We've also fixed a number of minor crashes. Due to an administrative error, this apology was not released until the current broadcast cycle. The aphids responsible for sacking the staff charged with sacking those who miss announcement windows have been sacked.This week, we bring some important fixes to multiplayer affecting disconnections.High Command continues to recommend vigilance for anomalous behavior. • Playtest update - 3 March 2026

  Hello, intrepid turtle captains! Part of today's update is a UI improvement. In the list of bugs in the turtle view of the holomap, there have always been colors that indicate the bug's status - white or gray for standby or deployed, yellow for refitting, and red for dead. But we realized it may take a while to intuit what the colors mean or even realize that they're there, so we've added a tooltip.We've also done some balancing changes - mainly, the curve that determines enemy installation level has been steepened, so you will encounter more difficult foes sooner. Also par for the course are some crash fixes. Playtesters, thank you so much for your feedback so far, and as always, good luck out there. -Entomological Enhancement Society

• Playtest build update - 19 February 2026

  Hello, intrepid turtle captains! We put out a small update recently. It fixes several issues that were reported, including a camera glitch if you fall in water during the tutorial, aphids drowning when saves are loaded, and a couple problems with multiplayer on Mac.
