  • Patch v1.2.0 Spinergy - 6 August 2026

Features Spinergy The spin of illumination has reached the age of the wheel! Electricity can now be generated using the wheel. This limited resource is generated 1 per spin, for every generator you own. The maximum amount of Electricity you can have is based on the number of batteries you currently own. Electricity will have many uses in the future. These new upgrades can be found by reaching the new stage, Megalopolis! Ingenuity Pet Finder Added a new Ingenuity upgrade related to finding higher rarity pets. I noticed that it was excessively hard to get into the rarer stages of pets, even when you have progressed beyond the normal stage of the game. In order to help players with this progression, I have added a roughly 20% modifier through the Pet Finder upgrade. Offline Progress When you have batteries that are charged (e.g. you have Electricity available), while offline the wheel will…

  • Patch v1.1.2 - 3 July 2026

Bug fixes and general improvements. Some core systems have been reworked in preparation for the next major update. Features Wheel Levels The Wheel upgrade now has multiple levels, allowing you to progressively improve your wheel. Each level makes the wheel more difficult to spin (reduced manual spin speed and increased starting Friction), but also increases the base multiplier for all resources, the maximum stack cap, and the maximum upgrade levels. Higher wheel levels allow for greater long-term progression. Balance Increased the base cost of Auto Spin by 20%. Reworked wheel spin mechanics. Added 5 levels to Softwood Wheel and 3 levels to Hardwood Wheel. GUI Fixed various button and text sizing issues. Added additional localization support for a future update. Bug Fixes Fixed screen transition lag when moving between stages. Fixed an issue where pet bonus income was not being applied t…

  • Patch v1.1.1 - 4 May 2026

Note: Content fixes related to the Pets patch, along with bug fixes and performance improvements. Features Pet Chance Fallback Pets were already hard to get, but it became unintentionally harder when you “over-roll” for a pet. Instead of punishing you for a good roll, the new system checks if you have any available pets at the tier you rolled. If none are available, it checks the previous tier for unowned pets. This allows you to invest more without losing access to lower-tier pets in the process. Bulk Purchase Holding Shift allows you to purchase 5 upgrades at once, and Ctrl allows you to purchase 10. Pressing both will purchase the maximum number allowed. This is a nice usability improvement for repeated playthroughs. Balance Moved Sabertooth Pet to the Legendary tier. Decreased the bonus for Legendary pet collection by half. Increased collection bonuses for Common (5%, 0%, 0%), Uncom…

  • Patch v1.1.0 - 24 April 2026

FeaturesPets!"Say hello to your fluffy friend. An entire system around pets has been introduced, allowing you to collect pets while prestiging. Invest in discovery to increase your chance of finding rarer pets. Every pet collected provides a passive bonus, as well as an active bonus while selected."Expanded prestige wheel."The wheel was already good, but I felt like it should be more interesting. I've increased the amount of bonus from the wheel itself. Higher tier wheels are harder to get started (heavier, more friction, less value for mouse movement), however they come with major perks."Rendering Upgrade"The entire rendering engine, pipeline, and gui has been rewritten to remove Java baseline rendering. It has been updated to a modern rendering system, OpenGL."Balance Ingenuity Grease now add a 5% compounding multiplier to the bonus.SpinStacks are no longer capped.Agriculture compound…

  • Preview: Patch 1.1 - Pets - 31 March 2026

In the first of (hopefully many) updates, I’m happy to announce that significant progress has been made on the Pets system! This new feature unlocks automatically once you reach the Metropolis stage and remains available after you acquire your first pet. This patch will also include several quality-of-life updates, GUI improvements, and bug fixes (which will be outlined in official patch notes).Pet SystemThe pet system is divided into two components: Collection and Follower.Collection is a passive bonus based on the number of pets you have earned and their respective effects. This bonus is always active and will continue to grow as you collect more pets. Pets can be discovered when prestiging, based on your "pet discovery" chance. Invest gold and food to increase your chances of finding a new companion!Follower pets are your currently selected companion and provide specific bonuses depe…

  • Patch v1.0.6 - 11 March 2026

Changelog v1.0.6 Note: Usability features and bug fixes. GUI Added minimum size limit for window. Window Resolution/DPI support for fullscreen. F11 now toggles fullscreen mode. Bugs Ingenuity tab hotkey did not work if Inegnuity stage was not reached. Agriculture missing hotkey.

  • Patch v1.0.5 - 9 March 2026

Note: Continuous improvement, and better utilization for food usage. Features Commerce, Industry & Agriculture! "Advanced upgrades have received an overhaul to make them more relevant. Income and Speed have been renamed to Commerce and Industry. Food also didn’t have a clear role in the current gameplay. It was useful for a short period, but eventually accumulated with little way to spend it. The food multiplier has been rebalanced to scale better and consume slightly more food. A new upgrade, Agriculture, has also been added to increase the food multiplier and consumption exponentially. This should help keep it in line with other advanced upgrades." GUI Updated display related to Food upgrades. Adjusted maximum level and bonus level text displays. Option to reverse wheel direction. Demo version now properly indicates that Ingenuity is unavailable. Balance Capital (reduced requirement ~…

Added fullscreen options to Options menu. Removed upgrade level requirement from Advanced upgrades tab (now only required Capital). More visible text for upgrades panel. Balance Increased the gold cost of Leverage and Friction (~2x). Increased the gold and lumber cost of Autospin (~2x gold, ~10x lumber). Increased the lumber cost of Millstone (~5x) Adjusted stage progression, stages are now a bit more spaced out and scale better. Bugs Ingenuity Grease is now properly calculated. • Spingenuity – Official Launch Announcement - 5 March 2026

The day has arrived! Spingenuity officially launches today at 12 PM EST.This marks the full release of the game, featuring a few hours of gameplay and the foundation for what I plan to expand much further in the future. As a solo indie developer, this is my first major project, and I’m incredibly proud to have made it this far.Major Update Coming SoonDevelopment is already moving toward a major technical overhaul. I’ve been rebuilt the rendering pipeline and moved the game from native Java rendering to OpenGL. The performance improvements are significant, but the transition has required reworking many existing systems. While this slowed development, it will make the game far more stable, scalable, and maintainable in the long run. I’ll be sharing more details (along with screenshots) very soon.A Note to Early SupportersIf you decide to support the game now and feel the content is still g…

  • Patch 1.0.1 - 8 February 2026

Generally the feedback we have gotten from the demo so far has been positive, with a couple recurring critiques. In order to address some of those before Next-Fest and launch we are pushing out a few new features, some GUI improvements, and general balance changes. The targeted goal is to have the demo take around 30-90 minutes to complete (before the use of Ingenuity would start mattering). The actual game afterwards should have enough initial content for 2-3 hours without leaving the Autospin running overnight. The additional wheel track upgrades is a fantastic new system that allows for the wheel itself to be upgraded. Currently the upgrade will increase things like income speed and heaviness of the wheel (making more advanced wheels harder to spin, but more rewarding if you can get them up to speed).Advanced upgrades are the first real compounding upgrade added to the game. They are…

  • Demo Patching - 6 February 2026

Based on some of the feedback received, we have decided that the demo version should not be separate from the default game version. Instead of branching out and leaving the game version as drastically different, we are going to merge the demo version with the actual game build. What This MeansThe demo will be created from the current game build instead of having a separate build. This means that anytime we update the core game, balance, or features those features will be available in the demo version (as long as they are not past a certain cutoff). The Steam integration for the demo version will also be disabled. This change should be pushed over the weekend, so if you have the demo build of the game there should be an update available either tonight or tomorrow morning.Where Will The Demo Stop? The current plan is for the demo to end around 1-2 hours into gameplay. This should be around t…
