  • Devlog #6: Transportation - 26 August 2026

DevLog time ːsteamhappyː I was MIA for a while, but I’ve been working on a TON of new features. I won’t cover most of them because, yeah, I’m lazy, but today I finished the first iteration of the skateboarding system! For transportation, we already have trucks that you can use to deliver items to your shops and get around the park more easily. But trucks are kinda big, so navigating the park can be a bit of a pain in the butt when you just want to get somewhere quickly. Sooooooooooo I made skateboards! There are now four different tiers of skateboards. You can unlock each tier by spending Skill Points in the Skill Tree (There is a skill tree now, by the way. One of the many features I forgot to write a DevLog about. My bad). Each skateboard tier is faster than the previous. You can also grind on fences to gain a little extra speed. It’s not a huge boost, but I thought it was cool ːsteam…

  • Devlog #5: Multiplayer - 18 July 2026

Welcome back to another Devlog! ːsteamhappyː Big one this time. I added multiplayer to Roller Coaster Park Simulator! You can now build and run your park together with friends, 1-8 players per park. There's no "builder" and "watcher" split - whoever joins can do anything the host can do. Build rides, hire and manage staff, clean up dirty rides with the Power Washer, walk around in first-person, whatever. Everyone has full access, so you can genuinely split the work (or step on each other's toes, no judgment). Your friends walk around your park as their own characters (with nameplates, so you know exactly who to blame), and they can actually help: Build together - friends can place rides and shops, demolish, and buy new land, all from the shared park wallet Run the park together - one of you sells tickets at the entrance while another flips hot dogs and pours sodas for guests Split the c…

  • Devlog #4: Day & Night Cycle - 4 July 2026

Welcome back to another DevLog! ːsteamhappyː Quick confession: I've been building way more than I've been posting about. So instead of catching up on everything, I'll just talk about the newest feature. I might do a future DevLog listing every feature so far, along with a remaining TODO list. Anywayyyssss.... I worked on a Day & Night Cycle the last few days. The sun moves across the sky through the day now. Once it gets dark, your park lamps automatically turn on so your guests can still see. I also ripped out the old skybox and replaced it with my own solution. The clouds are generated, and when the sun goes down the sky fills with stars and the moon comes out. Hope you liked the update! A wishlist really helps and keeps me going! ːsteamhappyː More soon!

  • Devlog #3: Hiring Your First Employees - 24 June 2026

Welcome back, to another Devlog! ːsteamhappyː I've added an employee system to the park, so you no longer have to run every job by hand. The first three hires are ready: a Ticket Seller who works the park entrance and sells tickets to the queue, a Hot Dog Seller who grabs buns and sausages, assembles the order (ketchup and all), and serves it up, and a Soda Seller who pours the right drink and finishes it off with a straw and a lid. Your staff work with whatever you've stocked, though - when the buns, cups, or lids run out, they can't serve, so keeping stations supplied is still part of the challenge. Each employee automatically heads to the nearest open station and claims it, so growing your workforce is as simple as hiring more. Under the hood, I also pulled the shared employee logic into a clean, reusable foundation, which means adding new roles later (cleaners are next!) will be muc…

  • Devlog #2: Power Washers & Dirty Rides - 22 February 2026

Welcome back, fellow coaster nerds! Its Devlog time! ːsteamhappyːI’ve implemented a cleaning system in the park, powered by the new Power Washer tool. Rides now gradually get dirty as guests use them, and dirty rides make visitors unhappy. Keeping your park clean isn’t just cosmetic - you’ll need to actively clean rides before complaints start piling up.Under the hood, I also reworked parts of the codebase to make future features easier and faster to implement. Systems are now more modular and flexible, which should speed up development going forward. If you’re enjoying the updates so far, please consider wishlisting the game - it really helps and keeps development moving! Thanks again for following the development! Next update coming soon

  • Devlog #1: NPC Upgrades & the Drop Tower - 20 January 2026

Hellooooo everyone, This is the first of many devlogs coming in the following weeks, so you can see what I’m working on and how the park is shaping up ːsteamhappyːThis week I’ve mostly been focused on the Steam page, giving it a bit of polish and making sure it shows the game properly. I also spent time upgrading the NPCs, and finished implementing the Drop Tower ride! Here is a small sneak peak of the Drop Tower in action (make sure to enable cookies or simply click on the link):I’m also almost done with the next feature — it’s about keeping the park clean. I will showcase it very soon on the next DevLog!Thanks again for reading, and huge thanks to everyone who’s wishlisted the game so far. ːsteamhappyː It really helps a ton and keeps development moving!

  • Roller Coaster Park Simulator got approved on Steam! - 17 January 2026

Talking about the projectThe Steam page for Roller Coaster Park Simulator has officially been approved and is now live. If you’re reading this, thank you for finding the page and checking out the project! This game is still very early in development. I started working on it about two months ago, and this Steam page marks the first public step of sharing it properly and getting some feedback from the community ːsteamhappyːWhat is Roller Coaster Park Simulator?Roller Coaster Park Simulator is a park management game where you balance building, maintaining, and managing a roller coaster park. You’ll switch between two perspectives:First-person mode, where you walk through your park, inspect rides, and deal with problems up closeThird-person build mode, where you design and expand the park, place rides, and plan layoutsThe goal is to keep your park running smoothly, keep guests happy, and make…
