- Armita’s Search is participating in Serbian Games Week! - 21 September 2026
And we’re coming to the festival with one of our biggest game updates in recent months. After a month of intensive development, Armita’s Search has received a brand-new game mode - Arena. Unlike the story campaign, there’s almost no story here - just battles, deckbuilding, and party management in the spirit of classic roguelike deckbuilders. Arena brings: — 60 new cards, bringing the total to 237; — 10 new companions, each with their own mini-deck of three signature cards, internal synergies, and unique attack pattern; — around 20 new enemies previously unavailable in the story campaign; — unique card sets for existing companions. And also: — New localizations (machine-translated for now, with human translations planned for later). Serbian, Ukrainian, and Chinese have received full translations, while the UI is now available in many more languages - in total, we’ve added support for 15+…
- Arena Mode - 14 September 2026
It’s finally here! After a month of intense work, we’re releasing version 0.4 — the first version to feature Arena Mode. Here you can fight your way through the game in classic roguelike deckbuilder fashion — just battles and deck management. What else is new? — 60 new cards have been added (up from 177 to 237); — 10 new companions have been added. Each has their own mini-deck of 3 signature cards unavailable in the general card pool, with their own internal synergies, as well as a unique attack pattern on the battlefield. Meet Psychocrat, Recycler, Madman, Dustculler, Slasher, Huntress, Driver, Hounder, Chem, and Deserter; — all existing companions now also have their own unique sets of cards; — around 20 new enemies have been added that were previously unavailable in the story campaign. And all of this is to celebrate our participation in the Steam Party-Based RPG Fest, running from S…
- “Pre-War Echoes” Update (0.3.6.6) - 24 August 2026
Clean water, travelers! We’re working on a major expansion that will introduce a new game mode, new characters, and new cards. Usually, when we’re working on a big feature, we can’t show much of it until it’s ready. But we found one piece that we can reveal separately from the upcoming update: new cards! New cards have been added (see screenshot): Toothbeak, BurnBelcher, Stroboscope, Saw Spitter, Shaker, Skyflarer, WaveMaker and Veteran's Tag We’ve also rebalanced cards and their prices in preparation for the upcoming arrival of a small but long-awaited feature: the Shop. - Buffed: Resonator, Ampstick - Nerfed: Rust Rocket, Boom Bundle, Explosive - The Irradiation Trouble card has also been reworked. It’s now harsher, but the player has more control over what happens. Check out the update here: The next update is coming around September 14! See you soon. May the Barrens show you mercy.
- Firearms Update - 16 August 2026
One of the core features of our tactical system is the existence of powerful cards that consume a global resource when used. The most powerful cards in the game — firearms — require you to spend Spoils every time you use them. Firearms are power on the Barrens: they're fast (cost 0 Action Points) and deal heavy damage. But there's a price to pay — you have to spend Spoils (ammo). So you can save your Spoils and unload your firearms on a boss when it really matters. Or you can skip firearms entirely and rely on reliable, free-to-use companions - cinderblock hammers, circular-saw axes, and Glassling nests stuck on sticks.Spoils are also used for travel (like gasol), repairing the truck (like spare parts), and buying new items in shops. However, this mechanic had one problem: if you had a firearm in your deck but didn't want or couldn't afford to spend Spoils, the card became dead weight in y…

- Are post-apocalyptic wastelands always deserts? No! - 6 July 2026
“Where did the seas on Pluke come from? They made luts out of them long ago.” — from the film “Kin-dza-dza!” Clear water to you, travelers! Many people assume that because our game sits in a post-apocalyptic setting inspired by Mad Max and Fallout, it must be a desert world with no rivers or rain. But that’s not true. The world of Raiders World lacks not water itself, but clean water. Roughly 30 years ago, the Last War consumed old states, armies, and even a few spacecraft. Then came the Deliverers — alien benefactors (or invaders, depending on who you ask). Survivors were gathered into hive-cities, while the rest of the planet was reshaped by massive terraforming machines that altered the atmosphere and turned oceans into fuel. The planet changed. Heat rose. Rivers dried up or became toxic. Those outside the hives seemed doomed… but the Deliverers themselves soon fell into conflict. An…

- Armita’s Search: Hot Fifty Card Update - 20 June 2026
Clean water to you, travelers! Over the past two weeks, we have been working on a major update for Armita’s Search: improving fighter spawning, revisiting old cards, adding new ones, and polishing the readability of card mechanics. Improved fighter spawning - Fixed a long-standing UX issue: new players had trouble understanding how to deploy fighters on the battlefield - Previously, you had to drag a Fighter Card onto an already deployed fighter, placing the new ally in front of them - Now, when you drag a Fighter Card onto the battlefield, the game highlights the available deployment diamonds - It is now much clearer where you can place an ally Major card update - Before this update, the game had 111 cards - 76 old cards were changed and rebalanced, with only 35 cards left unchanged! - Added 52 new cards, bringing the total to 163 cards! - Another 51 new cards have already been designe…
- Armita’s Search Prologue Roadmap - 12 June 2026
In the screenshot, you can see sketches of new emotions and poses for the main character that are currently being drawn. And below is our development roadmap for the Armita’s Search prologue over the next few months. In June, we want to strengthen the card side of the game: add new combat cards, rebalance old ones, divide them into three complexity tiers and introduce them to the player gradually so the mechanics are easier to learn, improve the fighter spawn UI, shorten overly wordy tooltips, and polish events. An important goal for the month is to bring the prologue story to the point where Armita leaves the bunker. This will include new battles, new characters, and a mechanic for reprogramming Fred. In July, we plan to finish the prologue. This includes around half a dozen battles, new enemies, new characters, challenging encounters, getting the truck, and leaving the first region. T…
