• Pixel Canyon – Four Months After Launch - 31 May 2026

  Four months have passed since Pixel Canyon launched on Steam.This started as a simple experiment - and now it has grown into something much bigger than I originally planned. The idea was straightforward: take the core concept behind the classic River Raid and see whether it could still be fun for modern players. Four months later, the answer seems to be yes.But what about my work here? Well, since launch, Pixel Canyon has received multiple updates focused on improving both gameplay and presentation. • Old School Arcade - v.180.0 - 31 May 2026

  Just added: New game mode : Old School Arcade - this time around player has 3 lives to move even further without needing to restart; Additionally in this mode a Live Up power up shows up; In Story Mode - progress bar shows up at the bottom of screen to help visualize current progress of level;

  New graphics (!) Like a lot of new graphics. Minor changes to gameplay: Sonic boom on first frames of speed up, basic weapon on later levels deals more damage; Fixes - canon bullets move correctly when speeding up, human German translation;

  Hi all. After some testing, and initial feedback I fixed few minor bugs and changed how the first tutorial mission works - it's now longer and explains more of the gameplay.

  Ok, soooo....Huge news. After some-hard to calculate number of months of hard work, late nights, lots of coffee, and some angry slightly neglected wife, I am thrilled to announce that Pixel Canyon will be officially released on February 6th!As a solo-dev, reaching this milestone is a real treat. Pixel Canyon started as a small project after playing for few seconds a good old River Raid, and thinking - hey, I think I can do it. Now seeing it ready for you to play is an absolute great thing (and very anxious thing also, as I hope at least 5 or 10 people wil like it).
