  🪲 We're getting close to opening up the first playtest for Lots of Bugs, and we'd like your help! 🪲 We are on the final steps of getting the playtest ready and we are excited... but nervous! What is the playtest? This is an early alpha. Not a demo. Not a polished preview. Things will be broken, ideas will be half-formed, and some features will be missing entirely. This is on purpose, we want to gather feedback throughout the process, not just right at the end. Basically, we want you to be involved! What we're looking for is honest feedback. What feels good, what doesn't, what's confusing, and what you wish was there.   🪲 Welcome to the Lots of Bugs Community! 🪲 It's about time I said hello! I am Calvin, and I'm the solo developer behind Lots of Bugs, a cosy social hangout game where you play as a beetle. How did we get here? It all started with wanting to learn Unity, which started early last year. Initially just a couple of hours a week, but earlier this year I went full time on it. Alongside me is Elliot, who is composing the original soundtrack and all the sound effects. (Oh no, what are The Fungus Among Us beetle band going to play next...) What is Lots of Bugs? 🪲 The world of Lots of Bugs has multiple areas to explore, filled with beetle residents who have a lot to say (some more interesting than others..). You play as your very own beetle where you fill your Beetle Scout collection log, learn about the legendary Pickle, play mini-games, explore, and just hang out in the lovely, little beetle…
