We’ve released a small update with several fixes and improvements based on recent testing and player feedback.Fixed an issue where Ms. Post’s +2 Au tax marker could appear behind Luxury Cards on Windows.Fixed unwanted scrollbars during Pick 2 character selection.Improved the transition after Pick 2, so the game starts faster after choosing a character.Fixed background music becoming too quiet during Auctions.Improved Gambit 2 tutorial flow, including clearer card resets and smoother Row/Column Bonus demonstrations.Fixed an issue where manually completing the Row Bonus tutorial could ask you to complete it again.Improved the Row and Column Bonus animations and pacing.Corrected Gambit 1 text to show that Bright Shell has 6 rerolls.Clarified Eric’s ability: if one of his Waterfront flips triggers an Auction, any unused flips are lost.Thanks for playing and for all the feedback! 🌴

- Major Update — Smarter Bots, Better Gambits & More - 22 August 2026
A lot has changed in Gold Coast Gambits since July 29.The biggest update is the Visitor AI. Bots now make much smarter decisions around Map Cards, Luxury Cards, auctions, Gold, rerolls and endgame planning. Different Visitors also have clearer personalities and intelligence levels, while still playing fairly from visible information only. 36 Steam Achievements — covering campaign progression, Prestige, Gold, cards, character powers, Visitors, custom games and more. The 50 Solo Gambits have also been revised to be more varied, challenging and entertaining, with improved objectives, setups and opponent combinations. - The Card & Abilites Update - 13 July 2026
Hi everyone! I have recently worked a lot with the physical game Boca Raton. The character cards have been updated and improved. When Alva, Tilda, and I played the game, some of the characters' features were a bit boring, so we did some brainstorming and came up with some exciting ideas. Also, due to a color drift problem when printing the prototypes (4C printing), I redesigned the backside of the map cards to mimic the backside of playing cards. I also added the rewards and the die rolls to the back of the cards. All this graphical redesign is now also updated in the game. While doing this, I also improved the layouts, and the flowing backgrounds are now different on the main menu, the compendium, and the game screen.
